This was far the best thing I have done in any of my travels! Charlie and his family are so warm hearted and hospitable people and from the first second I entered the green house I felt home! The house lies in the jungle surounded by a river with a dock. They run a bird shelter for macaws and other parrot species and the birds are so used to humans they even climb up to your arm. I felt like a part of the familiy amd like a mother for the birds. They also have a big and very friendly dog and a small very adorable girl that always wanted to join me when I had lunch. The best thing was my room! It has open walls out of mosquito nets and you see inside the jungle. In the morning you will be waken up from the sound of the forest. It's just a dream! The food they gave me was always more than enough and it was the best I had on my whole trip through peru! I just fell in love with this place, the family and the whole experience. The tourguide I had knows a looooot of things. He always tells you details about plants and animals you see. I did the 3 nights 4 days tour and that's what I suggest anyone if you have enough time! I saw a looot of animals like piranhas, makaws, a deadly catepillar, 100s of monkeys, an otter family, a loot of capibaras and a looot of sloths and different birds and butterflies. Charlie the owner of the green house even drove me all the way to the airport with his car on the last day. Thank you so much Charlie and your family! It was the best trip I have done ever!

We did a 2 day jungle tour with our tour guide Sergio. The tour was fantastic and Sergio was great and extremely knowledgeable. The night time walk to see tarantulas, scorpions, ants etc was great and the Lake Sandoval was very good, all made better by Sergio!

The tour exceeded my expectations. We saw more than just sloths including Caimans Capybaras up close. Sergio was our tour guide and he was excellent. He really enjoyed explaining everything about the jungle and the animals we encountered. After the tour, we had lunch at the Jungle House resort and the lunch was delicious. We also managed to look around the Jungle House resort and it looked like a cool place to stay. Would highly recommend Green House Tampobata.
