  • Minimum age to travel is 7 years old. Photo ID, such as a passport, may be required. Children (8-17) must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please feel free to bring a smaller bag to be brought onboard, and one medium sized piece of luggage, suitcase or backpack, which we will put in the hold of the bus during transit. This can weigh up to 15kgs (33lbs) per passenger .
  • This tour in an air-conditioned mini/midi-coach, hosted by a local Scottish guide, rated 5-stars by the official Scottish Tourist Board
  • You will require a two night stay in the City of Inverness for this tour. Accommodation is not included in the price of your tour but we are happy to provide recommendations where needed. Please contact us if you need help!
  • When booking accommodation, we advise that you use our Inverness pick up and drop off location as a reference of where to stay. This is located at Inverness Cathedral, Ardross Street, IV3 5NN.
  • We strongly recommend you book accommodation with a flexible cancellation policy in the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your tour - we'd hate for you to lose out!
  • There are opportunities to take short nature walks, it is recommended to bring suitable clothing and footwear.
  • ** Please note that during the winter season, we will be swapping Day 1 and Day 3’s itineraries to enable us to visit as many places as possible while it is still light outside. Due to weather and/or road conditions during the winter season the route may change at the driver/guide’s discretion. **
  • For insurance purposes, passengers must not be unaccompanied on our buses during tour stops. Drivers take legally required breaks and cannot stay with the vehicle.

I have been dying to get back to recommend this tour! If you are lucky enough to get our guide/driver/disco diva/historian... well done! William Edgar was not just utterly brilliant, but went the extra mile and more. What an absolute joy this tour was. I don't know if Flora MacDonald's grave was supposed to be part of the tour, but we stopped there and I got a picture of my ancestor's final resting place. My phone stayed on to enjoy the Ceilleigh in Inverness, William tracked it down and it is winging its way home. Everyone had a blast, friends made for life... fantastic! money very well spent. Thanks Hairy Coo tours! Great ideas for Edinburgh too! cheers William Edgar xxx

This tour is one of the most thorough tours out there to see and learn about the Scottish Highlands. Our guide, John, "The only King of the North," was one of the most knowledgeable and fun guides I have ever had. The tour makes a large loop from the south to the north and includes the beautiful Isle of Skye. John stopped at plenty of spots along the way where we could disembark and gaze upon the beautiful scenery. The schedule is not too demanding for the adventurous traveler. I'd recommend this for anyone visiting Scotland for the first time, or anyone who wants to learn about it from another perspective.
