The experience was amazing. Porfi, our guide was kind, helpful, very experienced and allowed us to go at our own pace, which we believe made it possible for us to complete this endeavor. The porters, cook and support staff was equally professional and kind. They were life savers.

My brother-in-law and I went on the 4 day hike into Machu Picchu and could not have dreamt of a better experience. First off, Salkantay Trekking has reduced the number of people per tour. At the same rate, we had just the two of us, with all the porters, a private chef, and an amazing tour guide. This allowed us to go at our pace, and not have to worry about either keeping up, or waiting on other folks that could have been on a very different pace than we preferred. It was amazing. Along with that, our tour guide, Broly, was fantastic. He was born and raised in the same vicinity that we hiked through, was well read, and was educated on all facets of our tour, giving him the expertise we preferred. His knowledge and many years experience gave us the educational aspect, along with feeling of safety that was above and beyond. Along with this, our chef was unreal. The food was healthy, filling, beautiful and delicious. And there was so much of it!! AND…..our porters were so gracious, and welcoming. They always made us feel taken care of, we are so thankful. All in all, I couldn’t recommend Salkantay Trekking and Broly enough!! Seriously the best.

Excellent tour guide HERMO!!! Passionate and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Inca! Literally brought me to tears talking about the ruins. Food was superb - 3 course meal every day. Porters were so professional and friendly. Tents and warm food were always ready by the time we’re done with the day. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trekking company. Above and beyond with the customer service!

It was an unforgettable experience, beyond forecast. The landscapes I witnessed were incredible. It is essential to be in good physical shape; otherwise, I believe that inste as of enjoying it, you will endure it. I want to thank our guide, Fredy Vapaza, for his kindness, good humor, and patience with each of us. Additionally, for sharing his knowledge and passion for Inca culture. I also want to mention the chef, Efraín Manchego, who, through every meal—breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner—showed his passion for food with the variety of dishes he prepared.

We had a wonderful Inca Trail experience with our guide, Rolando, who was just the best. Not only was he very clear and thorough in laying out what to expect for each day of our trek, he is also very passionate about the Incan history and brought to life every site we visited. The porters who are just superheroes were incredible, carrying all that weight on the trail and making sure camp was ready for us each day. Our chef Guido, was superb at keeping us very well fed - we couldn’t have asked for more! The tents, mattress, sleeping bags and liners provided were top quality, adding to the comfort of camping which is truly appreciated. All in all, an unforgettable experience and highly recommended!
