Overview

This trip is designed so that you can intensely enjoy the experience of the Camino de Santiago, even if you only have a few days. The last 110 kilometers of the French Way from Sarria will offer you the best pilgrim atmosphere surrounded by a magical rural environment. You will walk through lush forests of chestnut and oak trees, ancient witnesses of the pilgrims' passage to Compostela. Granaries, hermitages and crosses will guide your steps through green meadows and small villages that reveal the importance of agriculture in Galicia. You will have at your disposal all the necessary services for an experience of ten, including the best recommendations of restaurants where you can savor Galician cuisine accompanied by a very fresh Estrella Galicia, the best reward at the end of each stage. A path to disconnect, learn, reflect, get to know yourself better and improve yourself, but also to laugh, fall in love, make friends... You will want to repeat!

My Walking Trip to Santiago de Compostela from Sarria

The experience was wonderful, particularly because I shared it with my parents and my dear friend, who joined us from Mérida, Mexico. The weather, which was unusually rainy and cold, added a touch of charm, adventure, and challenge that made the experience not only a perfect vacation but also a meditative journey that has greatly benefited me personally. I want to commend Camino De Santiago for offering these tours. The logistics were perfect, and the care for lodging and luggage transport between hotels was something we didn’t have to worry about, which was particularly useful since my father turned 80 years old on the very day we arrived in Santiago de Compostela! I wholeheartedly thank you for the attention to detail, customer service, and above all, the opportunity you provide to pilgrims from all over the world to have this unique experience.

We took a Self Guided Tour from Sarria to Santiago de Compostella. My wife had an injured knee and Galiwonders modified our walk so we took longer walking only 10 - 15km each day. We stayed in single rooms which were easy to find in most cases but in some cases were quite difficult. In one case there was no street sign and no sign to the Casa. The walk itself is so much fun and you meet interesting people along the way. The countryside was beautiful and we learnt a lot about Spain. We were really impressed by the tidy homes and rubbish free Rua (streets).

Amazing experience. I’ve been thinking of doing this for years. Figured at 70 it was time. Beautiful countryside,great food along the way. Some hills were a moderately challenging but nothing extreme. Fellow walkers from around the world are amazing company. We booked our hotel stays through Santiago Ways who did a fantastic job. It was great having accommodations lined up beforehand. The Camino will always remain as one of the greatest achievements of my lifetime

I went Camino de Santiago on my own. The agency helped me with arranging the accomodation and luggage transportation. Everything worked well. I am grateful they managed to find pensions as it was already very busy everywhere. A tip if you consider to travel with the agency: wait with any expenses/bookings (trains, flights etc) until they send you a list of hotels/dates and all the documents for the trip.
