Overview

You'll make your own artisan ceramic cup. Come and have fun. Learn how to hand build with clay and make a ceramic cup. Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. Our artisan ceramics workshop is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition will create a unique and memorable experience. The workshop includes sharing pottery decoration techniques and fun. Visit our workshop, learn about ceramics and try it yourself. Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment. Wendy’s exhibited her work in Europe and North America, including at the Smithsonian, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barcelona Design Museum and the American Craft Council craft shows. Her work is part of permanent museums and private collections in North America and Europe

Itinerary

Make Your Own Artisan Cup Come and have fun. Learn how to hand build your very own artisan ceramic cup. Visit our workshop, learn about ceramics and try it yourself! Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment. What you’ll learn and what we’ll do. You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques. Let the fun begin. Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and personalise your own artisan cup. You’ll learn skills ceramists use when sculpting by hand. After your cup is complete you will learn to texture and add decorations. No need to bring anything special, we’ll have an apron ready for you. No prior ceramics experience is necessary. Your Finished Artisan Cup Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona: Option 1: About 1 to 2 weeks later your ceramic piece is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop price. We ship worldwide via DHL. Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your cup and select a finished handmade cup made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory.

Incredible experience from star to finish! You get to craft your own mug in a beautiful, cozy and inspiring location. Eric and Wendy are patient, approachable and full of positive energy. They create an environment where everyone, even complete beginners like me, feel confident and creative! The 2.5 hours flew by -it honestly felt like just a few minutes! A thoughtful touch: they take pictures of you while crafting and send them to you afterward. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique, hands-on experience. Perfect for friends, couples and solo adventurers!
