The trip was exceptionally well organised. Our tour guide was John who was incredibly informative and well organised. The sites are not to be missed and the photos don’t do justice to actually being there. The entire region is safe to travel to, we never felt uncomfortable even when we went for walks by ourselves through the streets or markets. Thank you for an unforgettable experience

We had an unbelievable family adventure. John, our tour guide was excellent and took care of every little detail to ensure we were comfortable, especially since we had an elderly couple in the group. John was excellent at explaining the history and stories about each site. His English is perfect, and we understood him very well. The tour company even let us add an extra site to the itinerary with no extra charge. The tours are worth every penny. We felt completely safe at every destination. I would highly recommend tourists to come to Egypt and plan their Nile cruise with Journey to Egypt. We were completely satisfied and in awe of everything we saw.

Our tour was an unforgettable experience. Our guide John was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and organised—he had a detailed plan for each site which meant we always saw the highlights of the temples and knew their backstories beforehand, so we could focus on the visual details as we explored the sites. Overall, everything was taken care of efficiently and professionally; we hardly ever waited around and never worried about logistics, even with packed daily itineraries, boat departures, and early starts. John is down to earth and attentive, and his expertise is apparent. Throughout our trip he shared a wealth of historical and practical information about each destination, including tips on dealing with street vendors as well as Egyptian history and mythology. We had an incredible time and cannot recommend John and Journey to Egypt highly enough.

We have had the most wonderful experience from start to finish with our incredible guide John. John’s English is excellent and his deep knowledge of ancient Egyptian history significantly extended our reasonable background knowledge. John’s extensive knowledge of the ancient sites and fantastic ability to avoid tourist congestion around important highlights inside the sites made our experience all the more hassle-free and special. John was incredibly respectful and polite to everyone, even street vendors and people who might otherwise be intrusive. This made our transitions between the cruise and the ancient sites very easy and stress-free. He is a very nice man. We felt safe and very well looked after at all times. People from Australia often asked me before our holiday: is it safe to travel in Egypt? I can honestly say that I felt my family was safe at all times: just as safe as travelling in Europe. John communicated with us impeccably from before we started the tour and throughout our journey. We knew exactly what to expect and the precise timing of all activities. John was incredibly well organised with everything: our transportation timing was always perfect and the vehicles we travelled in were in great condition and very comfortable. John always had our tickets pre-booked for every site we visited so there was no time wasted at the incredible ancient sites. It has been a magical time for me and my family and I would give John and the tour six starts if I could!

The whole trip has been fantastic - especially because of our guide, John! We have felt very safe throughout - in Egypt and on the tour with John. He has been great in informing us about the ancient Egyptian culture and religion and we have learnt a lot as well as having a relaxing time on the lovely cruise! We couldn’t recommend enough!
