Overview

Join us for arguably the most beautiful balloon ride in the world!  Experience the ultimate activity in the Valley of Assisi, only a two hour drive from Rome and Florence.  The area is literally dotted with Roman and Medieval villages surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. A true fest for the eyes and the soul.  We are fortunate to take off in sight of one of the most revered sites in Italy: Assisi.  You will be in the best of hands: our pilot, Captain Peter is the most experienced balloon pilot in Italy.  Finish your experience on a high note with a wine tasting and a sumptuous Umbrian breakfast at Cantina Dionigi.

Amazing experience

We had an amazing experience. I was very anxious about the idea because I am afraid of heights but wanted to experience the adventure. I am so glad that I did. It was a once in a lifetime adventure that I will remember as the highlight of our trip to Italy. Make sure if you purchase the video that you check your junk mail. I was waiting for the video to come and only found it in junk after if was too late to retrieve.

I had to be very early this morning to be picked up from Perugia and taken out to the Umbrian Valley for a balloon ride. The drive through the Umbrian Valley to pick up people was just a treat. I love Assisi with all my heart so I was very happy that there were people to pick up from there. The weather was perfect and our pilot, Pietre told us that it was 99% perfect weather for flying. The views were spectacular and the sky so clear. We were able to get to 5000 feet the conditions were so good, requiring clearance from air traffic control as there is an airport nearby. We could see Lake Trasimino in the distance, flew over Todi, and saw the spectacular Aponean Ranges. Upon landing we all helped carry the folded balloon to go back in the basket. We then headed to a local winery for breakfast- as you do. The wines were delicious as was the food. Great company too.

Our adventure was unfortunately rescheduled due to weather. We were unable to change our commitments on that day so we weren’t able to do the ride. We were given a full refund right away. I previously did a review and by mistake I gave them a 1 star.

It was the most amazing morning and I cannot recommend this experience more highly. The Balloon Adventures Italy team went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great time. Great winery too.

Prefect weather, great experience

We had perfect weather and the pickup took all stress of finding the meet up point. Our flight and landing were prefect and the breakfast and wine tasting afterwards the icing on the cake.
