Learn how to roll 'sfoglia' (fresh pasta) by hand and how to prepare 2 simple different kinds of pasta from scratch with your Cesarina. As the icing on the cake you will learn to prepare also the iconic Tiramisu. Share your passion for the Italian cuisine as you make new friends in this hands-on cooking class. Itinerary

Learn to make the famous Pasta and tiramisù in local homes with this hands-on cooking class. Discover, cook and experience the most iconic Italian dishes with expert home cooks in their own homes. This is a shared cooking class held in a carefully selected local home in La Spezia. Our Cesarine (the name of our hosts) will welcome you like part of the family and will teach you their family cooking secrets for an authentic culinary experience.

Created beautiful memories during Paola’s cooking class

On the second day of Christmas I attended Paola’s cooking class and I have to say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. Paola’s open kitchen allowed us for easy interaction and we had enough space and try different tasks. The setting felt like a mix between a professional kitchen and a relaxed home-cooking environment, making it ideal for hands-on learning without feeling intimidating. Paola was very kind and approachable. She explained every step without overcomplicating it. What I particularly appreciated was how they broke down complex tasks, like rolling and filling ravioli, into simple, understandable steps. We of course made American size ravioli :) Once everything was cooked, we sat down at Paola’s dinning table and enjoyed freshly prepared food over a lovely conversation with Paola and her husband. It’s a beautiful memory to have and it made our stay in La Spezia very special.

This tour could’ve have been more perfect. Gianni and Daniela were charming, warm, and knowledgeable hosts. It truly felt like cooking with my grandma! The food was excellent and taught in a way that I can attempt to replicate when I get home!

What a great time we had. Local food and drink, making gnocchi, having appetizers, eating too much, making new friends. Daniela was a fantastic hostess and we so enjoyed learning about her food, culture and life. Her knowledge, skill and joy made this experience very special. Can't wait to make tiramisu at home now that I know how.

It was a great experience! We learned how to cook several items not just those promised. Daniela was lovely! She explained and shared recipes with me that I was interested in. She made it fun and I would highly recommend this for others interested in learning how to make some Italian dishes.
