Overview

Indulge your love of Italian food in Tuscany, and enjoy a full-day tour that combines a market visit with a cooking class and 4-course meal with wine! After scouting out quality local ingredients at a historical Florence food market, travel to a rustic farmhouse in Tuscany, surrounded by exquisite countryside. Then, prepare your feast of pasta, bruschetta and Tuscan roast pork, plus beloved desserts such as tiramisu, before savoring the creations with Tuscan wine. Up to four glasses of wine are included throughout the day as well as a cooking diploma and the recipes.

Your guide will be holding a WALKABOUT TOURS sign, right by the taxi stand at Santa Maria Novella train station across from the outside McDonald's Return: Santa Croce church area (different from first meeting point)

Itinerary

A full day hands-on Cooking Class in a stunning setting in the Tuscan countryside, including a market visit topped off with a 4-course lunch. Search for fresh ingredients at Florence’s historic central food market before traveling to our beautiful Tuscan farmhouse in the countryside. On arrival be prepared to roll up your sleeves, you will start creating a complete menu, from appetizer to dessert. Master the secrets of traditional dishes that you will easily re-create at home for your friends and family. The cooking lesson is suitable for beginners and for those who can already cook. Then finally we will all sit together on a terrace hosting incredible views over the Tuscan hills and just like a big Italian family, we will take time to enjoy the food we have prepared together, complemented with Chianti wine. Maria was so personable and knowledgeable. She explained each step very simply and her English was awesome. Its worth the ride outside of Florence to get a view of an Italian life putside of the city. Recipes were easy to follow and tasted divine! This is worth your visit!

Memorable day in Tuscany

Everything was memorable- the market tour, food samples, minibus ride and cooking class with wine in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. Luca the tour guide/instructor was funny and engaging, and Karmella the cooking instructor was also very charming. We had a great time learning new recipes and sampling local delicacies. My only suggestion would be if the tour could return to the starting point at the station rather than ending at a different location in the city.

This class was the highlight of our trip - the hosts were so full of joy and love, they were an absolute delight. We loved seeing where the produce came from at the markets, and even went back to the markets the next day to do more cooking. The class itself was fantastic, fun and so delicious, and the location just beautiful. I’d recommend this tour to every person coming to Florence !

We had an amazing time at this cooking class! Lucas was an excellent instructor—authentic, engaging, and made sure everyone had fun while learning. The pasta, tiramisu, and bruschetta were delicious, and the step-by-step guidance was perfect. Highly recommend!
