After a convenient hotel, airport, or railway pickup, head to Osian and explore Sachiya Mata Temple—a place of worship built 1,000 years ago. Then, enjoy a guided camel ride as the sun sets over the Great Indian Desert.

Itinerary

  • Jodhpur (Pass By)

    Your tour starts with pickup in Jodhpur around 2 pm Or 2.30 PM at your hotel, or the airport, train station or bus station. Travel by private car to Osian where you have the chance to visit the Sachiya Mata Temple.(No Guide Provided) After taking in the temple, head to the starting point for the camel safari. The camel ride is considered a peak experience in Rajasthan. Expect to riding the camel in the Thar Desert. Stay to watch the skies and sands change colors during the sunset hour, then return to your private vehicle for transfer back to Jodhpur

Desert camel Safari with Dhanaram ji

Wonderful experience in Osian desert doing the Camel safari. Driver from Balaji yours was on time and took us to the place where we met Dhanaram ji and his 2 camels. After a 40 minute ride we reached his Homestay where his wife served a simple Rajasthani meal. His sons, aged 22 and 15 are proficient in English and communicate with the foreign customers. The ride back was at sunset and shorter ( 10 mins) I highly recommend this Safari !

This was an interesting experience. I did both the Jeep Safari and the Camel ride. My first time on a camel. It was great. The guides did a good job, making the experience pleasant. I recommend this tour if you’ve never done it.

Our trip to Osian was truly unforgettable. The driver arrived earlier than expected and patiently waited for us. The jeep ride was an absolute thrill, and the children helped us capture countless memorable poses in our photos. The camel ride was equally delightful. We also enjoyed a mesmerizing folk dance performance accompanied by traditional music, where everyone had the chance to join in the dance. The dinner was absolutely delicious, a perfect end to the evening. On our way back, the driver made a thoughtful stop in the middle of the desert, allowing us to marvel at thousands of stars glittering in the night sky. It was a magical experience from start to finish!

We had so much fun! A beautiful ride on the camels with a warm welcome and delicious meal at the end. And then a fun jeep ride to finish the experience.
