Overview

Take a Day E-Bike Rental - GPS Audio Tour of the Hawaii Volcano National Park. Our GPS Audio App will guide you on all the permitted Park Bike Trails as you see the main park highlights, and hear historic information. E-Bike along the rim of the erupting crater & possibly see active lava. Park at our Volcano Shop then Pick up your E-bike anytime between 10AM – ideally by 12PM so that you'll have plenty of time to explore the Park at a leisurely pace before returning at 4PM. E-Bike to the Park's Bike Trail [< 1 mile from our Volcano shop]. E-Bike through a Native Hawaiian Fern Rainforest, Feel the Volcanic Heat at the Steam Vents, have Lunch at the Volcano House’s picturesque Rim Restaurant mid tour, Walk through a Lava Tube, and E-Bike to the Lava Viewing Area on Paved Bike Trails and Roads. Avoid long parking delays, crowds, and long walks to the main National Park highlights. We provide secure parking, restrooms, and canopy covered staging area, and a Live Human Phone Support.

Meeting points

You will meet at Bike Volcano headquarters located in Volcano Village with secure parking, restrooms, and a canopy staging area for launching our tours. Pass the Lava Rock Cafe then proceed to either driveway to the rear parking lot. white canopy lat the north end of the parking area.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Take the Day to E-Bike the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Bike Volcano's GPS Audio App will guide you on all the permitted National Bike Trails as you see the main park highlights, and sharing historic information. E-Bike along the rim of the erupting crater and possibly see active lava. Park at our Volcano Shop then Pick up your E-bike anytime between 10AM – an ideally 12PM. E-Bike to the National Park Bike Trail [less than 1 mile away]. Next E-Bike through a Native Hawaiian Fern Rainforest, Feel the Volcanic Heat at the Steam Vents, have a sit down Lunch at the Volcano House’s picturesque Rim Restaurant mid tour, Walk through a Lava Tube, and E-Bike to the Lava Viewing Area on Paved Bike Trails and Roads. Avoid long parking delays, crowds, and long walks to the main National Park highlights.

Nahuku - Thurston Lava Tube

Take a short hike 15 minute loop trail hike into Nahuku Crater. An approximately 500 year old Pit Crater that is filled with giant native Hawaiian Hapu'u Ferns and other Native species. Learn about these amazing flora and fauna has you walk to entrance of the Lava Tube. Don't forget take your money shot here. Then, our Audio tour will guide you through the Lava Tube as you have a full sensory experience in this amazing lava carved cave system.

Great Experience

This was a great experience! The person who was running it was very friendly and got us settled into our bikes and GPS/audio tour with such ease. The bikes were really easy to manage, and the audio tour was informative and easy to use. The park was interesting, and I really enjoyed the freedom of being on a bike to visit all of the places throughout the Volcano National Park (compared to being limited to a car/bus with the traffic). This experience was a decent combination of riding on roads and riding on trails (both paved and unpaved).

Much better than driving

E bike is super fun and much better than driving as you can't drive too fast anyways and we saw many cars couldn't find parking along the national park. We saw lava from different angles on the trail which is so cool!

Great family bike adventure

My family really enjoyed the e-bike self guided tour. We arrived to find our bikes ready to go. After a short tutorial, we were off. We got to enjoy the park in a unique way and we were able to avoid the crowds. We were aLeo able to combine our ride with must do hikes which was the best of both worlds. The GPS app map was good but drains battery fast so bring a backup. The audio portion was the only piece that needs a bit of improvement. The audio itself was great but getting to the audio was cumbersome.
