Itinerary

What is canyoning? Canyoning is navigating your way through a canyon. In this case, the canyon runs through a series of spectacular waterfalls and in some sections the topography requires ropes to navigate our way successfully. Other sections can be hiked or swam through. This one-day trip starts to the south of Da Lat City. We drive along picturesque scenic roads to the trailhead, where we start our journey. There is a beautiful waterfall right next to the area we descend into. From here we head further down the canyon to a spectacular Tyrolean Traverse that drops down and over a waterfall and the river.At the practice slope you’ll learn the basics of knot tying, harness wearing, hardware, and proper rappelling technique.After the guides are satisfied that you’ve got it down, you’ll head down your first rappel! It is an exciting 15-meter descent into the river below.

Best day Ever Canyoning with Phat Tyre

Best day ever. My kids were 11 and 9 and it was such a great bonding experience for us. It was exciting and scary but I highly recommend it. You feel so alive and Phat Tyre are amazing guides. We always felt safe and their English is very good.

the undisputed highlight of our Vietnam holiday

We had a truly great time on the canyoning tour. After the team gave a safety briefing and practiced techniques until everyone (including the guides :-p) was confident, we set out for the real deal. The very first descent was still in the touristy area, but soon after we were in a wonderful forest with an amazing mixture of pine trees, bamboo, jungle stuff, and the river of course. The descents build up nicely in difficulty, and the three guides had a perfect routine in setting up and tearing down the safety ropes to minimise waiting times. They also took lots of pictures so we can make our friends and family jealous :-) The tour ended with a nice hike out of the canyon, just before it started raining after a sun drenched morning. Thanks Dung, Terry and Vinh for such a great day!

My boyfriend and I had the best tour. We were the only two that day, so we got a private guided tour. It was so much fun and our guides Linhde and Tuyen was very professional. They were good and thorough in their explanation of all the safety precautions and made sure we had a great day! I can only recommend! They were also so kind to give us plenty of good food recommendations in Da lat!

This trip was just amazing, is every cent worth and I felt sooo secure. It has just been the two of us with two guides. They explained everything exactly, were always open for questions and gave us a perfect introduction before everything started and another time before each action. They always had another security rope, so you have always been super safe.

An amazing experience, especially with the Phat Tires team, who are so professional and able to provide a sense that one was in safe hands. Just as well, as this adventure is a something of a MUST for anyone lucky & brave enough to have the opportunity.
