Discover the island of Faial from one end to the other! With the full day tour, you get to know all the main sights of the island, and even get to choose a few extra stops of your choice! For example, you can visit a museum, as well as bathe in one of our wonderful beaches. If you want to know a little more about our nature, you can choose to visit more remote panoramic viewpoints!   • Miradouro Do Cabeco Das Pedras Negras

    Visit to the Cabeço das Pedras Negras viewpoint, to admire the east coast, with views of the islands of Pico, São Jorge and Graciosa

  • Parque Cabouco

    Off-road ascent until arriving at the cabouco park.

  • Caldeira

    Arrival at Caldeira do Faial, one of the main tourist attractions on the island. Here, visitors can take a short walk, as well as enjoy the surrounding landscapes.

  • Praia Da Faja

    Wildest beach, with a green slope created by the Fogo volcano in 1672

  • Capelinhos

    After lunch, the tour continues through the volcanic complex of Capelo, passing through Fajã and Cabeço Verde. At Capelinhos Volcano, visitors can take a walk, or explore the surrounding area, as well as the museum.

  • Monte Da Guia Walking Trail

    Tour along the south coast, with a stop at Lajinha and Monte da Guia, to enjoy the beautiful landscape in the late afternoon.

Superb full day tour of Faial

Our tour guide Kevin was the best! He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all of Faial. He was energetic and engaging and just so darn fun to be around. He was extremely helpful in helping to arrange other tours for us. Our tour was interesting and informative - an overall wonderfully delightful day!

Fantastic day! Walk in Blue made best use of the weather conditions and secured fabulous views of the Caldeira whilst the sun shone, and we visited so many viewpoints and places of interest, including a couple of requests not on the schedule. Excellent (included) lunch was in a spectacular location, and we had lots of relaxed time to roam and look at the exhibition at Capelinhos. Kevin’s story of the influence of this natural disaster on his own family history was fascinating. We strongly recommend this well organised but relaxed pace tour!

This was an absolutely outstanding full day tour! I can’t imagine a better experience here on the island… Kevin was a font of knowledge, could answer all of our questions, spoke flawless English, and had a great sense of humour. And did I mention that the included lunch was fantastic?! I can’t recommend him enough; look no further because you’ll not find a better experience than right here. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic Faial

Amazing full day tour of Faial with Kevin covering the whole island and everything between. This was a great way to see a lot during a short stay and only made me wish I had longer on the island. We started off going up to the caldeira, then back through the forest to swim at a black sand beach. Lunch, which was included, was tasty and plentiful. In the afternoon we covered the north and west of the island seeing some of the most dramatic and spectacular scenery. We then came back to Horta for the final stunning view over the city. The day flew by as we kept stopping at viewpoints between all the main stops. Overall a great tour and made even better by Kevin who was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The local links and little details made all the difference. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to see this island.

JP and Raquel were the best tour guides! We loved talking with them throughout the tour, it felt like we were talking with our own friends for the day. Super fun. We saw many incredible views on Faial, covering the entire day. Would definitely recommend!
