Experience an outdoor walking tour that brings the ghosts of Traverse City back to life. The Historical Ghost Lantern Tour starts in the heart of downtown Traverse City and explores the hauntings occurring on Front Street before heading south to 6th Street to share the ghostly tales of the Perry Hannah House and Carnegie Library. The tour will come to a climactic conclusion with a ghost-hunting experience at Traverse City's first official cemetery with actual ghost-hunting equipment where we conclude at the Perry Hannah Circle statue on the corner of Union and 6th street. Please meet your guide holding a lantern OUTSIDE the Higher Self Bookstore. Please allow 30 minutes for parking in busy downtown TC, use the restroom, & meet your tour guide 10 min. prior to your tour start time. Tours start on time, please call Haunted Traverse, if running late.

The Historical Ghost Lantern Tour starts in the heart of downtown Traverse City & explores the hauntings occurring on Front Street before heading south to 6th ST to share the ghostly tales of the Perry Hannah House and Carnegie Library. The tour will come to a climactic conclusion with a ghost-hunting experience at Traverse City's first official cemetery with actual ghost-hunting equipment where we conclude at the Perry Hannah Circle statue on the corner of Union and 6th street. Your adventure begins at 313 E Front Street, Traverse City. Please meet your tour guide, holding a lantern, OUTSIDE the Higher Self Bookstore. Parking can be a challenge. Please allow yourself an extra 30 minutes to park & use the restroom before your tour begins. The Hardy Parking Garage is located on Front Street very close to where your tour meets. This tour always starts on time. Please call if running late.

The history of each place we stopped at was filled with an interesting story of why the ghost or spirit still haunts the places. The real love ghost hunt was super fun. She was very informative and fun. Well worth the money spent. We learned alot. The weather at night was so comfortable as well.

Fun and interactive tour. Desiree did an amazing job of telling TCs history and getting us to believe! We did take some pictures with some weird results!

Fantastic tour that made our trip!!

This tour was super fun and really pulled the whole trip together. It's basically a tour of the city with a very well qualified local historian, who happens to also be really into ghosts. Our tour guide Des has done her research and is a multi-generational local, and knows everything about the historical underpinnings of various macabre events said to have produced many ghost sightings. I also learned why those old theaters used to burn down so often! She was a terrific storyteller and spent time with every person on the tour. My 6-year old daughter joined us as well and had a great time, with no nightmares afterward. Des was very good with kids and kept her interested the entire time. By the way, the architecture in Traverse City is incredible. And some of these spots were very creepy after dark. I have to say, I remember the tour vividly even several weeks later. I'm still pretty creeped out. Great restaurants in that part of town as well so this was perfect after dinner.
