John was a fabulous guide - he was very friendly and knowledgeable, adding his own personal touch to the tour by sharing his own personal life stories that really gave an insight into local life. A very enjoyable tour and would highly recommend. John was also our guide the previous night for the night tour of the old town - once again he was very personable making for a very enjoyable night.

We did a couple of tours with John and we had a fabulous time. He has expert knowledge of the local history, culture and people. We highly recommend the Hoi A walking tour as well as the bicycle tour which takes you to local villages, farms and the famous basket boats. A 5 star experience.

We did 2 tours with John, a walking tour and the bike tour, both were excellent. John is extremely passionate about sharing his extensive knowledge about Hoi An, its culture and history. His connections with the local communities facilitates close and real interactions with the locals. To top it off, the places John took us to eat were absolutely amazing. John was easy going, enthusiastic and funny. Amazing days which we will always remember.

John, from John Lee Tours was a great guide and being a local gave me confidence that he was very passionate about his business John picked me up at the Hotel we jumped on the pushbikes and off we rode! No worries about traffic, John was riding close and keeping me safe. l felt safer than l do on Melbourne's busy roads.....We hit the track along the river and then though John's home village, ten stopping to enjoying a cool drink before climbing aboard the Basket boat. The river was alive with local characters, fishermen and other tour groups enjoying the sights & sounds karaoke, dancing plus basket boat racing included!! After some quieter moments paddling amongst the coconut palm forests with John explaining the ecology and history of the area, we came ashore for a coffee. Next stop was the herb farm where l met an amazing 84 year young farmer she was still working and very fit for any age. Lunch was had at a local open air restaurant and need a say the food was fresh & delicious. using the herbs from the farm we had just visited. Then we slowly cycled back to town, stopping to say g'day to some friendly water buffalo. John is very engaging with great english and has a great sense of humour....Although some of his jokes could use some work!! Sorry John :) If you are traveling to Hoi An you would be missing out on a fantastic experience in you didn't spend some time with John!

John was very knowledgeable but also super friendly and helpful. John paid attention to our interests and managed the pace of the experience to suit us making the experience more personal and enjoyable. We had a further tour with John over the Hai Van pass and again he was an excellent guide and made the trip informative and enjoyable. His command of English was very good making it easy to absorb the great information he gave us.
