Overview

Immerse yourself in Italy's culture with this hands-on cooking class held in a local home and led by an expert Italian home cook. Learn the secrets of the most iconic Como dishes and taste the fruit of your labour for lunch or dinner with local wines included. You'll have a fully equipped workstation with utensils and ingredients and your local host will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic Como recipes (starter, fresh pasta and dessert) handed down by generations of mammas and nonnas. After the class, sit down at the table with your Italian family and taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of local wines. This experience is held by Cesarine, Italy’s oldest network of home cooks and wine experts. Cesarine are passionate and welcoming hosts that open the doors of their own homes to curious travellers for immersive culinary experiences. Every host is reviewed for authentic culinary traditions.

Carolina and Simona made the night so much fun. One of our group had difficulty standing and they were so accommodating. We really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot. Plus got to eat a great meal!

Wonderful experience for kids and adults

We had absolutely the best time with Sara! We came with two children ages 9 and 11 and she was absolutely perfect with them. She treated them with warmth and kindness and respect and included them in all aspects of cooking. We were so touched by how kind and understanding she was of our kids and their ages. We all had the best time. We learned so much. Sara had everything ready for us when we arrived. We were able to immediately get right into it and we got to chit chat and get to know each other while we cooked. She chose recipes that were perfect for our children and our dietary restrictions. She was patient and made everything fun. I would very very highly recommend this experience.

This was one of the best tours I have ever done!! Beautiful home and they were great in showing how to cook Italy’s best meals. I would highly recommend this to everyone!

My friend and I took this fabulous class with Simona and Carolina. We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the warmth of being welcomed into a real Italian family's home. They were very well-organized and showed us great tips and tricks to make velvety and delicious tiramisu and the best pasta I've ever made! It was so good and we really enjoyed the kind and warm personalities of the mother-daughter team. They were great and I'd highly recommend this experience!
