  • Museo Antiguo Convento Franciscano De Santa Ana de Tzintzuntzan

    We will visit the Atrium of Olives with its trees over 400 years old, followed by a visit to the Ex-Convent Museum and a visit to the main temple.

  • Isla Janitzio

    One of the most recognized islands in Lake Pátzcuaro. We will embark at the General Pier and take a boat to reach the island, time to visit the Monument and small local craft shops.

  • Patzcuaro

    We move from the general pier to the center of Pátzcuaro. We will take some time for lunch and continue our tour of the main attractions of the city: Basilica, Plaza Don Vasco, Casa de los Eleven Patios, El Sagrario and Temple of the Company.

Patzcuaro from the inside out. Not to be missed.

This was the best cultural and historical tour we've taken anywhere! Our guide Jaime, is a lifelong Patzcuaro resident, with not just knowledge but also a passion for history and indigenous languages. Plus he personally knows the most famous artisans, who would open their shops and also their workshops and even homes to us. The majority of our group are artisans themselves with many questions about techniques. He adjusted our destinations throughout the day, after hearing our comments. Excellent English, warm, funny, personal...a pleasure to be with.
