Overview

Mercara Gold Estate is a beautiful 12-acre estate located 8 KM from Madikeri. Whilst coffee was growing here since the 1960s we acquired it in 1998 and began a process of transformation by organising it into a well laid out farm with a wide array coffee, spices and fruit trees. Our vision was to develop Mercara Gold Estate into a fully-integrated unit, we began processing and roasting our coffees on the estate. We follow all time-tested processes with passion to produce our own range of boutique style coffee and well-balanced blends. Starting 19th September 2023, we add a new attraction to our estate, The Mercara Gold Estate - World Coffee Museum! Themed to trace the history of coffee from birth and era to present day, this museum will give visitors the most immersive coffee experience ever!

  • Mercara Gold Estate Coffee Plantation

    The coffee and spice estate tour at Mercara Gold Estate is a comprehensive and enlightening guided visit of the plantation. Mercara Gold Estate also has a coffee processing and roasting facility. It is a walking tour and the guide will explain about the various crops and processes. The tour ends at our cafe with a cup of estate fresh coffee.

The tour around the estate is amazing - Salim was so informative! Learnt so much about different spices and coffee types. Worth the 45min hike around the estate! highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madikeri. Their cafe is lovely too

Amazing experience, passionate employees, great tour by Ramesh very passionate person. One of the best place to visit in coorg, value for money. Great meal homely feeling. My family enjoyed the most, lot to see there not just coffee plant tour, musium, rostery, chocolate plant etc... must visit place.
