Itinerary

itinerary : DAY.1 :After an early breakfast we register at the Rinjani Trek Centre before commencing our trek.The trail initially passes through dense tropical forest.We stop at Pos 1 and Pos2,pausing for rest breaks & snacks.At Pos 3 we stop for a longer break for lunch.After lunch we continue the trek to the crater rim.As we climb higher forest is replaced by grassland and the trail becomes increasingly steep.We camp the night at Senaru Crater Rim with amazing views of the sunset,Mount Agung in Bali and the Gili Islands,the summit of Mount Rinjani,Lake,the small volcanic cone within the crater. Day 2:We enjoy the sunrise and a leisurely breakfast before commencing our return trek to Senaru.We pause for several rest and snack breaks on the way,stopping at Pos2 for lunch break.We arrive in Senaru at approximately 1pm

Hard but so worth it

I ordered this trek because of the great reviews. They picked me up at the hotel on time and we drove to the base where we got an overview over the trek. Met our guides, Rudy and Alex, and they were really nice. Being 42, a bit overweight but nothing major I found this quite difficult. But the guides and also my lovely group members were really encouraging so I made it to the top. The view was spectacular! It was so worth the 7 hour trek, even though my poor legs were barking and wanted to give up. During the trek we had lunch and considering that they were preparing it on the spot it looked marvelous. So delicious and nourishing and very large portions with loads of fruits to fill up our bellies. On the way we got some snacks and like tired toddlers gobbled them up :) The dinner was something... it looked like it was made by a fancy restaurant but prepared in a tent 2600m above sealevel. Was really good and a welcome addition to my belly after a hard trek. When we got to the crater everything was setup and ready which was really nice could rest my legs. In the morning we got a very hearty breakfast and after a short briefing walked down. Being tired the guides helped me with pacing which was nice, didn't make me feel bad for dragging behind. All in all it was just brilliant. Hard as heck but sooo worth it.

Great hike, with a knowledgeable and kind guide: Madhy was excellent, I highly recommend him! Sublime views, trek wasn't difficult but it can be a bit long for someone inexperienced. Food provided was delicious, and the equipment was perfect. Thank you!

Incredible hike

I did the 2D1N Senaru Crater Rim hike with Lombok Trekking Info for my 40th birthday, and it was wonderful. Anci, my tour guide, and the porter were amazing, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trek up. The hike was challenging but the views at sunrise from the crater rim were absolutely worth it – a moment I'll never forget. The meals provided were delicious and the entire experience was well-organized. Additionally, I opted for the transfer service to and from my hotel, which was seamless and convenient. Huge thanks to Lombok Trekking Info for making my milestone birthday truly special with this incredible adventure!

Challenging but very rewarding

It was a very challenging hike, maybe the most intense we have done already, but it was worth it. Everything was very well organised and the team took care of everything: food, support, sleeping equipment… I would not do it again since it was so hard, but would surely recommend to do it.

Fantastic experience on the 2D/1N crater hike

We had such an amazing experience! Thoroughly recommend using Lombok trekking. They took care of everything for us so we just focused on the hike. Our guide Anton was so great to trek with, very knowledgable of the mountain, understood our capabilities and a great host. The porters made some fantastic food and drink which was well needed by the time we got to the top! Overall I couldn’t recommend these guys enough :)
