Overview

Avoid the heat of the day by walking and see the sunrise. We will begin our walk with our first view of the spectacular rugged northern coast, we will continue on the isolated path through the countryside of the island where I will be point out the various indigenous plants & animals as well as local stories, with the local and gold history and teaching you some Papiamento local language & expressions. At this point we reach the northern dunes where we may be able to spot sea turtles nesting, this is the most unique, secluded & isolated beach on the island. We will continue our way to the famous natural pool "Conchi" we'll be the first swimmers before the packed jeep riders. This is an easy and relaxing walk/hike through an area that is relatively undiscovered & secluded. We will meet at Macdonald's located in Santa Cruz in route 4. From there you follow me to the trail 8 mins by car. You will have enough time to swim or snorkeling in the natural pool or take pictures of this site.

  • Conchi Natural Pool

    We will walk through the wild coast of the island the last stop is the famous natural pool on the north coast of Aruba. Where you will be able to swim and be the first one before the crowded jeep tours

  • Boca Ketu

    This bay is the most secluded beach on the island. Here ee may spot leather back turtles nest when is the season, or if is the hacth season we may encounter the baby turtles. We will have time to take pictures of the area and to the most unique big rock (island) with the shape of Aruba

    Here we will have our first stop to tell you about the gold history of Aruba, show you the indemic flora, fauna and moment for pictures of the great view of the Atlantic sea

Not your average hike!

Our guide Genesis was very knowledgeable about the area. And the best part was the swimming hole. Well work the hike! The lemonade and cookies were good too. I would highly recommend doing this event.

A great early morning experience. The hike was perfect and the natural swimming pool was beautiful. Yari was a super guide. Lots of knowledge and great local recommendations.

This was our favorite thing to do in Aruba. The trip was just as described except that there was only enough snorkeling equipment for 4 people. If you don’t want to share, you need to bring your own mask. That said, the hike was beautiful and interesting. and our guide Genesis was fantastic. The natural pool was really fun—we swam, jumped in from the rocks and snorkeled. One problem we ran into was that one of the participants had a flat tire while leaving. We tried to help her change the tire but it wouldn’t come off. The guide was the first one out so we couldn’t ask her to send help. It took 2 hours to get a someone there because of language barrier and spotty cell service. If we had left, this woman and her three kids would have been stranded in the desert wout cell service. I would suggest that the guide waits to make sure everyone makes it to the main road before leaving.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Yari, our guide, was very informative and personable, pointing out some unique flora and fauna of Aruba. The hike was relatively easy, and the view was gorgeous. Definitely enjoyed the natural pool; it was just our group of 5, so we had it to ourselves! Saw some beautiful fish, and then got some wonderful pics on the way back. Yari provided lemonade and fruit biscuits. Be sure to bring some water shoes, sunglasses and towels. Highly recommend this tour, the sunrise in Aruba is simply stunning!
