Overview

Experience this origami activity for beginners, set in a beautiful environment, surrounded by incredible models and unique displays made by our origami artists based in Japan and the US. Choose from 50 colors of origami paper and fold as many models as you'd like, guided by our tablet software that will take a folder from a square piece of paper to an assortment of animals, flowers, and vehicles in no time, ranging from beginner to intermediate in difficulty. Ask your origami instructor if you need help folding a model. Guests may take photos throughout their experience, purchase rare origami books, and enjoy our origami displays during and after their session. Whether visiting Asakusa on vacation with friends or family or looking for an affordable cultural experience with a date or on your own, you'll surely enjoy your time at Taro's Origami Studio and make lasting memories (and origami) to take home with you. Family origami experience

A beautiful activity with the family. Myself my husband and my 2 kids, aged 6 & 7 did some origami today. It was the perfect Japanese activity away from the hustle and bustle. My kids both boys, when I asked what was their favourite thing today they said origami. Highly reccomend. The teachers were kind and caring. Very comfortable and lovely place. We got to keep our origami. Highly recommend.

Took my 8 and 10 year old to this shop and had a great experience with the guided folding. We spent 45 min and were able to choose our own designs to fold during that time with help from the teacher if needed. It was the perfect indoor activity on a hot day and all of us enjoyed it. We also purchased a book and some paper to take back to the hotel to practice! Perfectly fun!

Beautiful space and super fun activity. Our kids loved practicing their trade with the help of tablets that guide every step and we all were awed at the possibilities of creating such beautiful things with paper.

Great origami experience! David was very nice, helpful, and excellent on English/Japanese. We enjoyed our time at Taro and would love to come back next time we are in Tokyo.
