An absolutely amazing trip! I booked this tour around 8pm the night before. I was aware it was a Spanish only tour but being that it was last minute I booked it anyways. The guides were terrific, they apologized for knowing little English but I felt well informed by them the whole time.
I did this tour the same day I arrived in Huaraz and I will say I struggled a bit with the altitude but I am still glad I did it.
If you are scared of heights, get car sick, or have struggled with altitude sickness previously be warned. I never get car sick but the ride up the mountain did make me a little queasy.
We stopped in the city center for ice cream after they picked everyone up. We then made our way to the park, stopping one more time along the way to put in our orders for our lunch when we returned from the mountain (it was a small family run restaurant in the middle of the countryside with absolutely beautiful views)
We did the hike which was about 30-45 minutes (including pictures, which the guide did an amazing job taking for me) then we got to kayak (single, double, or they will take you out in a group on a small boat) single was 20 sol
On the way back we stopped for the preordered lunch then we headed back to the city where we also stopped for a brief wine tasting and more ice cream/chocolate.
This tour was way more than I could have asked for!
