On this tour we will enter the Sahara desert in an air-conditioned 4x4, to cross its dunes and discover the surprising town of Khamlia. If you visit Merzouga, you can't miss it!

After picking you up from your hotel first thing in the morning, we'll leave behind "civilization" to enter the desert of Merzouga.

The day begins by visiting the nomadic people who usually move from one place to another in the Erg Chebbi dune area. While we have tea with them we will get to know some of their traditions, customs and ways of life. We will continue the route in the direction of Khamila: a town located in the vicinity of the dunes. In this town of ancestral population we will also discover its typical Gnaoua dances and its traditional music. After our visit to Khamila, we will return to your hotel.

Breathtakingly beautiful.

We left an hour before sunrise in a 4 wheel drive. The views of the dawn coloured sand dunes were breathtaking and worth getting up early. The sunrise was beautiful as were the ever changing colours of the sand. Just beware for carsickness, even sitting up front my friend really got sick from the sharp turns and wild (needed) driving.
