With so much wildlife to enjoy, the Nature Coast beckons you to explore! Our Eco-tour will enlighten the wildlife enthusiast, amateur photographer, birdwatcher and every individual in between! Grab your binoculars and join us for an eco-journey to take in the sparkling springs and the calming river. Kings Bay is the second largest spring system in Florida, which is fed by dozens of fresh water springs spitting out more than 280 million gallons of fresh water daily! The bay serves as the head waters for the Crystal River and is extremely unique and incredibly important to each animal species that depend on it for survival. Wading birds, waterfowl, black crowned night herons, wood storks, bald eagles, brown and white pelicans, osprey, red-tailed hawks, and of course the endangered manatee are just some of many animals that depend on this ecosystem to sustain themselves! Your Captain and Mother Nature will team up to ensure the most unforgettable, awe-inspiring time possible!

Best Birthday EVER

My birthday was amazing! Mike and Kevin rocked! I didn’t think I could withstand the cold but Kevin kindly made me lol. My friend got me the birthday pkg, we forgot it and came back an hour later. My friends walked in while I turned the car around, flag me down to leave and Tonya and Steph brought the cupcake and gifts to my car and sang HB❤️ I WILL BE BACK

Had a great time swimming with the manatee. Thanks Crystal and Melissa! We finished a bit early so they took us for a tour around the bay.

Captain Joff was amazing! Extended our ride an extra half hour to make sure we had an excellent manatee adventure. And did we ever! Manatees swam right up to the boat. Only a foit or two from us! And we all learned a lot from Joff. The entire staff was phenomenal. We will book with River Ventures again! So worth it!!!

Manatees and more manatees!

When we booked our trip we had no idea what to expect. We were greeted by the friendly staff when we checked in and then taken to the dock to board our boat. There we met Captain Chris who would be our tour guide! He made sure we were comfortable on this very cold day! He knew right where to take us to try to see manatees and boy did he know! We saw so many manatees and even Captain Chris was just as excited as we were to see them all! Captain Chris had the best sense of humor and was also very knowledgeable about manatees, the wildlife and the history of Crystal River. He was able to answer all of our questions and our conversation was great the entire trip! Our expectations were exceeded and we will be returning one day soon to actually swim with these amazing creatures! Thank you everyone for the best day!
