Great tour. You get to see the basics of rum production and the history of the rum factory. You also taste some of their premium rums.

Amazing tour with a great tasting in the middle of thousends of barrels of aging rum. Must see tour. The historic exhibition is better than the one in the historic museum in Santo Domingo.

Ron Barcelo Distillery Tour and tasting - A great way to find your ideal Rum.

We made a last minute booking on the day by calling the Distillery and they were very helpful in accomodating us. When we arrived we were cleared through security and greeted by Juan Carlos who have us a private tour of the facilities including the rum storage warehouses, distillery and bottling plant and then the museum showing the history of Ron Barcelo Juan Carlos was very friendly, informative and helpful, answering all our questions and then took us for the rum tasting. We got to sample a variety of the rums they produce, including the premium Imperial range which enabled us to appreciate the difference between each age and type. This was exactly what we needed to help us select the Rum we wanted to purchase. Only downside is that the distillery is a little hard to find and get to, being tucked away in the countryside in the middle of the came fields from where they get the sugar cane to make the rum.

Thank you to Luis, our guide who made this experience fun and informative. He really knows all the details about these rums. A truly immersive experience that teaches you how to open your palate and mind to really taste the smoothness of these premium sugar cane treasures. Ron Barceló should know they are in good hands with Luis there. Totally recommended, PS: drink the cocktail at the end, it is delicious. Thanks Isa (DR) and Alessandro ( Italy)

Great Rum Tour

The tour was very informative, and we toured at our own pace. Our tour guide, John, was extremely helpful and very willing to answer questions. The rum tasting was quite nice and the prices for bottles at the end were very reasonable. Definitely would recommend this tour.
