He’s an amazing tour guide. So willing to go with the flow of what we wanted to see and do— even if it wasn’t of the itinerary. Very knowledgeable. Gave us free time which was great.

Day Trip - Rotterdam, Delft & The Hague

Great tour! Loved the conversational nature and ease of movement that the small group created. Eric was full of great information about the things/places we saw as well as about life in The Netherlands in general. Highly recommend this trip, well worth the investment of time and money.
Fall in love with the Netherlands
Published on Mar, 2025
We enjoyed our time with Leidse. We learned a lot about the places we went to and the Dutch culture. I did not expect to fall in love with the Netherlands, but the people and all the different facets Leidse showed us made it easy for me. Thank you Leidse for a wonderful experience! We will definitely comeback and see you again!
Touring with a Local as our guide was incredible!

My tour guide, Leidse, who is awesome! I couldn’t have asked for a better guide for this trip. It definitely helps that he was born and raised in the area. He was so enthusiastic about sharing interesting facts with us. The drives between sites went by really fast because he made it interesting by telling us to look up at specific sites and by sharing special Dutch treats with us on each leg of the tour. He was funny and friendly and everything I would want in a tour guide!
The tour itself was perfectly planned out for the time allotted. I think the areas where we had free time was just right. I climbed to the top of the church in Delft and fell in love with the views. We saw so many things in just one day that I would never have been able to see on my own even if I had rented a car.
He went above and beyond for me in particular when I really needed to find a restroom at the beginning of the tour in Rotterdam. It was before most of the shops were open and they did not accommodate with restrooms easily. After I got turned down twice, he went with me into a coffee shop and purchased a coffee so that I could use the restroom. For me, that’s just being a kind human and I will be sure to pay it forward.
I highly recommend this tour if you would like to see some sites outside of Amsterdam in one day. I really enjoyed each of the stops as they were all very different. I wasn’t sure that I would appreciate Rotterdam as much as I did because I live in a big city, but the architecture of the skyscrapers made it super unique.
This is my third tour with GetYourGuide and I will absolutely use them again on any of my trips!
