Overview
While you’re in port in San Diego, explore the city by both land and sea on the San Diego Seal Tour. On an amphibious vehicle that travels on land and in water, you’ll spend this independent shore excursion driving along the waterfront and splashing into San Diego Bay. It’s a fun-filled adventure for the whole family.
Meeting points
Seaport Village is a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. 825 W. Harbor Blvd. next to the Bay Company retail store in Seaport Village. Check in 30 minutes required prior to tour time.

Historic Tours of America - San Diego
This 90-minute shore excursion is a fantastic way to see the best of the Bay and San Diego during your limited time in port. On an amphibious vehicle that drives both on land and in water, you’ll depart from Seaport Village, located on Harbor Drive at the Embarcadero.
As you travel along the beautiful bay by land, you will hear stories of early sailors and the history of the bay. You also will learn about the importance of the military in San Diego, home to several US Navy and US Marine stations. Pass by San Diego International Airport, dedicated to aviator Charles Lindbergh, just one of the many people you will hear about on your San Diego Seal Tour.
Then, you will splash down into San Diego Bay, where you begin the water portion of the journey. As the seal boat travels through the Bay, keep your eyes peeled for a chance encounter with a California brown pelican. A cruise through Mission Bay provides views of SeaWorld, Hospitaltiy Point and Vacation Isle. Quivira Basin is a playground for seals and sea lions, so don’t look away from the water for a second!
You will head back and land and return to your starting point via Harbor Drive, passing the Maritime Museum and cruise ship terminal along the way.

Wonderful experience! Our 3 year old was entertainand and safe the whole time. Capt. Michael did a great job driving. John did a great job commenting. 10/10 will do it again! We've planned already to bring more family next time! Thanks guys!

This was so much fun. Our crew was incredibly knowledgeable and hilarious. We saw the seals up close and were given a tour of the military training dolphins. Would love to go again.

I went on this with a friend to see some sight around San Diego. Had so much fun and learned a lot about different landmarks and some museums that I definitely wanna check out. Also as the name implys you will see some very adorable seals. Bonus we got so some fighter jets flight right over our heads.
I would also like to shout out to our amazing captain and the first mate Jewels, she was not only fun and interesting but I loved her energy through the whole tour.
