    Marvel at this beautiful remote village and the mountains carpeted in dense tropical vegetation. To arrive in San Sebastian del Oeste is to take a step back in time. This antiquated town dates back to 1605 and was made famous by its plentiful silver mines. Today, with only 600 inhabitants, there are scattered examples of its traditional colonial architecture merging with a colorful village square, quaint cobblestone roads, passing mules and a sleepy way of life far removed from the rest of the world. Your day includes a walking tour of the 18th century church, a silversmith workshop and an organic coffee farm. This expedition is not for the average tourist but for a traveler who seeks to find the real Mexico.

Wonderful day excursion

Sturdy shoes a must. Cobbled streets. Jesse was excellent. Very kind and a wealth of knowledge. Tequila the best I’ve had. Coffee plantation so interesting. Grab some peanut brittle on the main road. Delicious!

A real authentic pueblo magico at a great price point!

We were excited to re-visit this tour after 10 years. The tour guide Franco was a young energetic and very passionate guide. With a lot of knowledge and genuine concern for our questions, needs and wants. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum part of the tour, the granddaughter of the founder was a 21 yr old wealth of knowledge and very proud of her heritage. She was humorous and enjoyable. The tequila tasting is hosted by the owner. And it’s true small bath tequila which is not only delicious by also very traditional and made with love and passion. The driver Nero was safe, and very friendly. The photographer Richie took a little time for us personally to talk about other activities that are available in the area and share his knowledge of the heritage of this pueblo magico. Last but not least, the lunch exceeded our expectations, fresh lemonade, cold beers and wine… AMAZING tender beef steak. Sooo good! Everyone was very pleased with the meal. Not disappointed, very satisfied!

If you enjoy learning about the history of the places, you are visiting with an amazing guide this might be the excursion for you. FRANCO was an amazing guide along with his humorous driver, Julio! Our lunch was beyond amazing. So fresh and delicious! We had Chef Alex to thank for that. Our tequila stop was amazing and very informative. Thank you Lalo! I highly recommend this trip!

Really great outing. Franco and Julio were wonderful—very knowledgeable and attentive. The lunch was outstanding and the town itself very charming. It was a good value and an excellent day.
