Overview

Paddling at the foot of the imposing mount Taygetos, we discover the wild beauty of a place that was never conquered. Sea Kayaks give us the opportunity to explore inch by inch the rich in imagery and diversity indented coastline of the Mani. We paddle in warm turquoise waters, exploring hidden coves and impressive rock formations. We visit sea caves and discover idyllic beaches sprouted between the rich in history and tradition coastal fishing villages of the region.

The activity includes a 30 minutes preparation time, 2 to 2.5 hours paddling exploration, 1 to 1.5 hours free time for picnic, relaxation, snorkelling, swimming, diving and other activities.
We recommend you take with you: water, hat, sun cream, towel, swimsuit, extra pair of shoes that will get wet. Suitable shoes are lightweight trainers, flip flops, sandals or sea shoes. Avoid bulky shoes.

Truly great experience

We expected a regular kayaking trip along the coast but we were absolutely floored with the history of the land. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the islands and the lands history. We learned so much. Then we made our way into some amazing caves, absolutely a hidden gem away from the world. It is truly a sight to see and such a wonderful and an unexpected experience. We had a great lunch after provided by our tour guide. Our tour guide George (I may have possibly misspelled his name - my apologies) was very friendly, funny and one of a kind tour guide. He made our first kayaking tour an amazing one. He’s a very genuine person and he loves what he does; you can feel that radiant energy from him. It was my first time kayaking and he made me a fan, I will absolutely recommend a tour with George. Thank you so much. We will be back in 2026, see you then my friend. Michelle & Steve.

A perfect day at the sea

The tour by explore Messinia was one of the highlights of our stay in the area. Booking with Trifonas was easy, we got all the information we needed and came well prepared for the day. Although we had no previous experience with sea kayaking, we learned how to paddle and control the kayak with little effort. The sea was calm and beautiful, and the scenery was unforgettable. The caves were surprising, the best part of the tour! Last but not least, our excellent guides: Yiannis and Trifonas, Thank you for a perfect day!

Amazing sea kayaking experience with wonderful guides

This sea kayaking tour exceed our expectations! The guides, George and Fotis, were excellent: experienced, caring, funny and knowledgeable. They first explained how to kayak properly, then took us around the coast and into the caves which were the highlight of the trip. You get to kayak into the cave and swim inside it. We then had a delicious greek lunch on the beach. It was an amazing experience, thank you George and Fotis!!! Art & Tanya
