We have just returned from a brilliant day kayaking on the Noosa Everglades with Kanu Kapers.
We opted for the self-guided tour which gave us the opportunity to relax, have our own space and enjoy the solitude of the area.
This was a highlight of our time in Noosa and we would highly recommend it.
Josh collected us on time from our hotel and took us to the departure point where we met Liesel, who gave us an excellent briefing on the route as well as the key landmarks to look out for on the way. She did a great job of making us feel confident for the day ahead. Josh and Liesel were both so friendly and helpful.
We had no prior kayaking experiencing but were able to fully complete the route with some time to spare, having stopped for a snack at the ranger’s station and then again for a half hour lunch break.
Kayaking across the lake at the beginning and end of the route takes a bit of patience and determination but we really enjoyed the element of challenge and feel it is do-able by anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. As soon as you reach the river, paddling becomes much easier so you get a bit of a break that way.
You need to remember to bring all your food, water, sunscreen and a change of clothes as you will definitely get a bit soggy if the lake is choppy.
