Discover the beauty of Crystal River, Florida, by joining our eco-conscious and small-group manatee snorkel tours. Immerse yourself in the natural habitat of these gentle creatures as you swim alongside them. With a maximum of 8 guests per boat, we prioritize an intimate and sustainable experience that benefits both our guests and the manatees. Please remember that our manatees are not in captivity, so they are not trained to come up to you. These tours are conducted in their natural habitat, meaning that every tour we perform is different. We are proud to be the only Manatee Tour Company in Crystal River Florida that has a education program for not only our manatees but a 'Nature Walkthrough' which has native and invasive fish , and ecosytem education. All included complimentary in our manatee tours.

Meeting points

We are located off of US HWY 19 in Kings Bay Plaza next to the SeaFood Seller Restaurant. Guest check in at the front desk in our building. Guests must arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time

Itinerary

Guests check in at the front desk, and then a tour guide will show everyone USFW's Manatee Manners video, instruct our snorkel briefing, and fit everyone for wetsuits. Once it is time, all guests will be shuttled down the dock to meet their Captain. Once on the boat the Captain will take everyone on Kings Bay to locate a manatee to snorkel with. The tour is 3 Hours in Total, with 1 hour of prepwork and 2 on the water. Prepare to spend up to 3 ½ hours including all of the necessary prep work before your tour Minimum of 2 guests required to preform the tour Our boats carry 6-8 guests, for groups larger than 6 please contact us. Minimum of 3 people to perform tour This snorkel experience happens in the manatees natural habitat, which is what makes this so special! They are not captive animals and are free to roam any part of our 588 acre bay. Please keep this in mind when you book your tour, as every trip is different than the last and things like amount of manatees, water clarity, etc are out of our control.

An amazing experience! Please help save our manatees!!

Appreciated the educational discussion prior to our departure and really hope that all people choosing this experience respect our manatees and their environment. Manatees are so peaceful and kind and in our now chaotic, divided world, I have become fascinated with them. It was a bucket list item for me to see a manatee in its natural environment while snorkeling. Years and years of snorkeling in the different islands -and I have never experienced until coming to Florida in the winter to specifically experience this. I was happy enough to see a manatee plunge her snout into the sediment of the springs and come up every few minutes for a breath but a second stop on my trip with these guides revealed 6 additional manatees - and although all resting, there was a small inquisitive baby that checked us all out - grabbing at our snorkels, masks. I was careful to not touch him as instructed! It was an experience of a lifetime!!! I also appreciated our great guide Emmett for taking such great pictures for me! Thank you Adam and Emmett!!

Emmet and captain Michelle were great. Very knowledgeable and great to get along with. We went right to the manatee and were in the water quickly. It was an incredible experience swimming with God’s beautiful creatures. Manatee are docile, fun and playful. Amazing to experience God’s wonderful design up close and personal

Amazing experience !! Such a perfect way to start the day!! Manatees are such beautiful and peaceful animals! What a privilege to share a swim with them in their natural habitat. They swim right next to and under you while you float on the surface. Water is a cool 72 but quite comfortable in the wet suit. And the hot chocolate when we got back to the boat was a great touch!! The staff at Sea Daddy was wonderful!! Recommend this excursion!
