Overview

Enjoy the beauty of Tortuguero with an expert local guide! This ecological experience allows you to see the wildlife up-close, without disturbing or disrupting the animals’ habitat. In the canoe your guide will paddle you through Tortuguero’s meandering canals while you experience the sounds of the tropical rainforest, feel the serenity of nature, learn more about the history of the National Park, and enjoy breathtaking views.

Meeting points

If you are looking at the main dock, follow the Main Street to your left. It is a blue building across from Coffee Tree House. In case you cannot find us we will meet you at the main dock!

  • Tortuguero National Park

    Enjoy the beauty of nature while paddling through the canals of the National Park. This ecological experience allows you to see the wildlife up close, without disturbing or disrupting their habitat. In the canoe you will be able to experience the sounds of the tropical rainforest, feel the serenity of nature, and enjoy breathtaking views. Learn more about the history of the National Park while seeing its aquatic life up close! This tour starts at the meeting point at 5:30am for coffee, tea, biscuits, and a little fruit before you start your tour. Sambola Tours Tortuguero is happy to offer a dry-bag and binoculars for your personal use on the tour.

3 tours with Adrian

We went on 3 tours with Adrian ( night walk, canoe and hike) and he was such a great guide. Very friendly, speaka fluent English and has a lot of knowledges abou the flora and fauna. We had great time and saw a lot of animals. If you can only pick one tour, thwn I would choosw the canoe one to see the rainforest in its full beauty in piece and quiet.

Absolutely the best tour. We saw so many animals that Adrian picked out of the jungle that we would have gone right by without him. He was so knowledgeable and experienced that it made it a remarkable adventure.

I did the Canoa and the Walk in the jungle tours with them and i highly recommend both of them. Adrian was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable and able to spot all sorts of animals: frogs, birds, monkeys, caymans, snakes, opossums, bats,and we finally managed unexpectedly even to spot baby turtles heading to the sea... we saw them all and I couldn't hope for a better experience! Also, they were very kind to 'rescue' me after a last minute cancellation from another tour operator. They made my day with two great tours. Thank you!! :)

Very nice tour! With a great tour guide, Kevin! Way better than a tour with motorboat because they make a lot of noise. Saw a lot of animals!
