Overview

Imagine yourself swimming next to the biggest fish in the world in its natural habitat, learning about its biology and having the time of your life. Our tours are guided by experienced certified guides and we accept a maximum of 10 people per boat so you can have a better experience.

Meeting points

*Please show up at least 15 minute prior to departure time! *The location is on the corner of Topete and Legaspi street, go through the blue gate with the big "Marina de La Paz" sign and we will be waiting for you at the "Tour Meeting Point" area, just a few steps ahead by the boat ramp.

Itinerary

Get comfortable while we head over to the Whale Shark refuge area; it will be a short boat ride from the Marina where you will be given a quick briefing and the rules to protect these magnificent fish. Put your wetsuit and snorkeling gear on, and be ready to be amazed. Now it is time to jump in the water and have a close encounter with these docile creatures in their natural habitat. Our experienced and certified Captains and Guides will make sure you have a lifetime experience. Live this unbelievable experience with us and scratch it off your bucket list! There are 4 turns to get into the Whale Shark area each day and there's a limited number of boats that go in depending on how many Whale Sharks are in the area. The turns are assigned via WhatsApp and they are given in the order in which they receive the messages. We always aim for the second turn ( 9 AM) but there are days that we don't get it, so we have to ask for a chance in the 3rd or 4th turn. We cannot guarantee that we will get a turn or which turn we will get until after the turns are assigned each day. We will get in contact with you if we don't get the desired turn (9 am) to let you know the turn we got assigned.

A bucket list experience! Christian and Marco were amazing! We saw 5 whale sharks and spend 30 mins swimming with one of them. Then sea lions, huge fish ball, king angels and the list goes on!

We had an amazing tour with Cristian and Marco. Our group was only 3 people and we lucked out with having amazing weather and calm seas. We saw 6 whale sharks and a special treat of a manta ray. The tour was well organized and staff were friendly. The equipment (wet suits and snorkel gear) was in excellent condition and fit well. We were actually scheduled for the tour on a different day but Tuna Tuna tours contacted us a few days early to explain there is windy weather and marina closure that day and rescheduled us to an earlier date. So thankful they rearranged this experience for us so we didn’t miss out since it was the highlight of the trip. Cristian also took Go Pro pictures and video that were emailed to us 24 hrs later, included in the price of the tour.

Magical whale shark tour

Fantastic experience with Marco and Cristian! They were super knowledgeable and friendly, and most important, respectful of the animals. We got to swim with multiple whale sharks and Cristian took great pictures and videos of our experience. We got a bonus swim with a manta ray, we were the only group to do it! Overall a magical experience. With only three customers on the boat, it was so nice to not be crowded or have to take turns. Would highly recommend this tour company! The weather for the date we originally reserved for was going to be windy, but they helped us reschedule so we wouldn’t miss out.

As far as whale shark experiences go, this is way more ethical and authentic than some of the other ones I’ve witnessed. Very knowledgeable and respectful guides and not overly crowded or harassing the whale sharks. Definitely worth the money.
