Overview

Enjoy over 145 years of brewing history as the guides take you through the interactive brewery tour. Learn in a guided small group with a maximum of 15 travelers about all of the ingredients that go into the award-winning brews and hear about the state of the art brewing process used today. The tour ends with a tasting, where you’ll get to enjoy samples of the beer as the knowledgeable guides talk you through the different styles and flavors in the range.

Speight’s Brewery

Visit the iconic Speight's Brewery - located in the heart of Dunedin. Your 75 minute experience will include a tour through both the historic and modern floors of the Brewery that has been located on the same site since the mid 1800's. Finish off the the Tasting Room for up to 20 minutes of Beer appreciation, we will even show you how to pour the perfect beer!

Had a good time learning about the history of Speights Brewing and how they have changed and adapted over the years. The tour guide and staff in the gift shop were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Annika was our guide for the brewery tour. She was funny and knowledgeable. The tour was $45 for 45 min of the tour and 30 min for tasting. You get 6 beers to try. The ale house is different and down the street from the brewery.

Great tour, very informed and interesting tour guide. Beautiful old brewery site with original equipment still in place (if not functioning) The tap room afterwards was sensational, about a dozen great beers to sample. 10/10.

Excellent tour and very gnerous tasting samples. Speights is my favourtie NZ beer. It is really good that they have preserved and manintaned the original brewery rooms in such good condition. This really gives you a good feel as to how brewing used to take place. The tour guide knew her stuff and supplied lots of useful information.
