Overview

This adventure is a 3.5 to 4 hour fully-guided whale watching, wildlife and sunset viewing tour departing from Downtown Victoria on the Salish Sea Eclipse - a state-of-the-art covered catamaran with three viewing decks! Your adventure will be ending when the sun goes down and will be an experience to remember!

Meeting points

Please check-in 30 minutes prior to departure time at Prince of Whales Whale Watching located below the Visitor Information Centre in the Inner Harbour (812 Wharf St, Victoria, BC V8W 1T3). The boat will not be held for late passengers.

Itinerary

Experience the majesty of the Salish Sea and its wildlife, from whales surfacing in unison to bald eagles soaring overhead. Cut through the Strait of Juan de Fuca’s currents in search of orcas and humpback whales, and listen to our marine mammal experts bring the animal’s stories to life (while you stay warm, dry and hydrated in its heated cabin, of course!) The quintessential whale watching experience for every adventurer. Immerse yourself completely in this incredible experience while we take free high-resolution photos of the wildlife, the landscape and your loved ones! Ease into the evening aboard our luxury catamaran, Salish Sea Eclipse, as we depart Victoria’s scenic inner harbour. This 3.5-4 hour tour is a photographer’s favourite and a relaxing way to end the day as the sun sets over the Salish Sea. (Cruise ship passengers, Please allow at least 5.5 hours + from check-in time to return to your ship.)

Great guide, enjoyed the trip! Not for the sea sick though, but was really fun to see all the wildlife! The whales weren’t super active when I went, but the company offered me a free second trip to make up for it!

Fabulous adventure! Saw humpbacks, orcas, sea lions, seals, eagles,,. Lots of room on the catamaran to move around and great viewing areas as well as indoor areas too. Crew were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and even entertaining.

What an amazing tour! Saw 3 different species including Humpbacks, Orcas and Harbor seals. Our guide Fox was soo fun and informative. Loved that he got excited when spotting for us.

Fabulous trip whale watching from Victoria. We saw orcas and humpbacks along with sea lions and seals. Crew are very knowledgeable and managed to answer all questions that people asked about the wildlife. They also take photos which are then emailed to you, which was amazing because most of my photos were of waves and splashes

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Algebra was very funny and engaging. Algebra and Rajan were extremely knowledgeable and answered every question we had with enthusiasm and great detail!
