Overview

We are food passionates and our aim is for you to have a very fun evening while tasting the best Basque tapas/pintxos of Bilbao and discovering the local history and traditions. With us you will taste at least the top 8 pintxos (traditional and modern Basque bites) all paired with a lovely variety of local drinks from wines to vermouths (we have options for all preferences). This tour runs in English and in small groups only so it is much more personal. Our focus is in high quality food and drink, so the perfect choice for the most demanding foodies, just like we are! This experience is as well a fabulous introduction to the history of Bilbao and the Basque Country as we walk around 3 of the most historic neighbourhoods of Bilbao. After the tour you would have learnt the "essential local rules" to order the best food when you are on your own. You will experience it like Basque people: walking around town and hopping from bar to bar pairing local food specialties with drinks.

Join us in this gastronomic walking tour of Bilbao led by a chef and you will taste the best seafood, miniature cuisine and pintxos of Northern Spain and at the same time you will discover the hidden spots and brief history of Bilbao. Everything will be paired with the traditional drinks of Northern Spain: local ciders, alabriños (from Galicia), txakolis, riojas and beyond. Leave it in my hands it is our speciality! This experience is all about food, drinks and the beauty of Bilbao. You will feel like basque people: walking along the Nervion river, sitting in terraces for a drink and hopping from bar to bar pairing the best local food with drinks. You will learn a lot of interesting stories about Basque Country and I will show you the "essential local rules" to order the best food when you are on your own.

Great tour of non-touristy "Pintxo" bars and local wine sampling.

Exceptional tour. Marina was outstanding and her knowledge on what was presented, impeccable. It was refreshing going to the different bars to try their "Pintxo" specialty, where locals go and not your tourist trap type of place. Choice of food and drinks were amazing. Highly recommend! Thank you Marina! :)

Delicious and entertaining tour

Marina was an amazing tour guide who took us to some excellent bars for pintxos, wines, cider and vermouth. We were lucky that our group was only 3 people so we could fit in the more crowded bars with no problem. We learned a lot about Basque gastronomy and also about food and traditions from other guests on the tour. It was really special! Then Marina sent a summary of all the bars and dishes that we tried, as well as recommendations for where to eat nearby in our free time. Highly recommend!! A great way to experience Bilbao / the Basque Country. Thank you Marina!
