This workshop is an unique experience for visitors who want to immerse themselves in the world of Japanese manga and anime culture. You will be supported by a professional manga artist who has been creating manga for over 20 years, using traditional techniques that have evolved over the past 100 years, allowing you to create your very own manga. Visitors will draw manga using the same process as a professional manga artist: ideation, rough sketching, drafting, inking, filling in solid blacks, applying screen tones, and adding speech bubbles. Don't worry if you're unsure about your drawing skills. With the support of a manga artist, those worries will disappear. In fact, people who had the same concerns have successfully completed high-quality manga in just two hours. *The minimum number of participants is 2 people. The fee for participation alone is the same as for two people.

This experience was everything that we hoped for had a great time. Would definitely do it again. Made me who can't even draw a stick figure feel like a real artist and my son who actually has artistic ability had a great time and learned so much.

Fantastic experience

You can be a complete beginner or have experience drawing manga to enjoy this. They give you ideas but it would be best to think about what you want to draw beforehand. The manga artist then takes you through all the steps, helping out when needed. My kids (aged 12) and I all came out with an appreciation of the work that goes into manga and an artwork we are proud of. This experience was a highlight of our trip.

It was a wonderful experience! We had a blast and even though we had very little experience, our results were amazing, because we were supported and guided by an experienced team (artist and translator). Definitely one of our highlights on this trip! ありがとうございました！

Great experience for manga fans!

Brought my son to try this experience since he loves drawing and is a big manga fan. We picked this particular class since the created works posted look professionally done and not those “kawaii” cute style. We had a great time and learned a lot from Shingo sensei. He really helped with guiding us through the process and creating a half decent drawing for someone that has no artistic skill like me. A must try for manga fans!
