In 2025, to celebrate America 250, our nation's birthday, the National Park Service has embarked on a massive restoration and updating of key sites, exhibits and Battle Road. New for 2025: Visit the new adjacent Town of Lexington history museum, open in time for America's 250th Birthday, a 2 year extravaganza.

  • Battle Road Trail

    Completely renovated for 2025, the Battle Road Trail is a five-mile trail connecting historic sites from Meriam’s Corner in Concord to the eastern boundary of the park in Lexington. Much of the trail follows the original remnants of the Battle Road, where thousands of Colonial Militia and British Regulars fought a bloody engagement on April 19, 1775. In some areas, the trail leaves the historic road to follow the route of the Minute Men, traversing farming fields, wetlands, and forests. Witness homes and taverns have been renovated, and Battle Road landscaped, in preparation to the 250th Anniversary of America's birthday for the 2025 season.

We enjoyed this tour. So much interesting information. Our guide was Coach. He did a great job. Answered all the questions and explained things well. Our van was full, so kind of close quarters, but it worked out fine.
