Edgar, the guide, is very informative and knowledgeable about the region. He took us to many places I wouldn't have thought of visiting, all of which made for great experiences. A fantastic way to spend a day in Durango state.

Excellent Historic informational tour, guided by Neftali (Edgar). Edgar is very knowledgable about this area and his english is very good. He included numerous stops along the way, providing us with additional cultural experiences, enriching our understanding of the wonderful area known as the Malpais. Edgar is very passionate about his work and highly recommended!

A special place with a knowledgeable guide

The malpais (bad country) is a desert oasis formed by cold water springs flowing within volcanic basalt flows. Like those springs, which flow into rivers and cascade over waterfalls, Neftali weaves together a tour of history and nature with (delicious) surprises along the way.
