Overview

Your local guide will welcome you with a cold and refreshing Poros lemonade, along with a story about the Poros lemon tree forest that goes back to the 18th century. During your hands-on cooking class, the chef will give you step-by-step instructions to perfectly prepare traditional Greek dishes like tzatziki, Greek salad, beetroot dip, fish or vegetable plaki, spanakopita and bougatsa. You’ll learn the key ingredients and spices needed to make these dishes as authentic as possible, the perfect skill to take home with you from your travels in Greece. This class takes place in the beautiful setting of a traditional Greek bistro, where you will meet the family that owns it and learn about their island life. After we chop, stir and fold, you’ll also learn how to mix a special drink called Nectar, which was inspired by the Greek gods. Finally, it’s time to eat! You’ll get to savour the fruits of your labour — and the food will taste even better because you’ve made it with your own hands!

Good and fun experience- great food

We were a group of 3 people from 20 to 60 and we all enjoyed this! Greek recipes for 6-7 different dishes. The chef accommodated allergies and adjusted both the menu and certain dishes. It was less cooking than expected - the chef did most of that - probably due to the small kitchen, but we participated in cutting and mixing the ingredients before the cooking. We went for the lunch session and enjoyed a rich lunch with all the goodies we had prepared.

Such a fantastic experience! My wife, daughter and I all learned excellent Greek recipes with a patient and kind chef! Opposite of Hells Kitchen! Dora was lovely. The kitchen was immaculate and the recipes were her family's traditional Greek food which we ate and took with us as well. The space is very nice and surprisingly cool on a hot afternoon. The beach is across the street if you fancy a swim afterwards. I would recommend this experience 100%!

Absolutly loved this! The best thing about our trip to Greece was to visit Poros and to have the cooking experience with Odyssey Bistro. The staff was professional and friendly. They spoke a variety of languages. The bistro was clean and very inviting. Their hospitality was 10/10, and I met lovely people. Well, the food? Amazing! Was so stuffed that we had to take it home! The ingredients were natural and fresh from their gardens. We didn't eat meat nor drink alcohol and they accommodated to this no questions asked. The cooking class itself was very informative, and I picked up some great tips! We all got stuck in and had cooking jobs to do. The bistro is located 2 minutes from Askeli Beach, so the afternoon ended with us on the beach surrounded by splendid scenery.

Great atmosphere and engagement in a lovely bistro just off the beach in Poros. As a solo traveller, the host was very welcoming and the group turned out to be 3 of us which was great for really getting in to all the dishes. With no allergies or restrictions we got to try our hand at veggie dishes, fish and dessert all of which turned out very tasty (I’m sure in no small part thanks to the supervision provided) and a cocktail with the hand squeezed cucumber water was an added bonus. Thoroughly recommend to groups and solo alike.
