We did this for our birthdays (same day) and quite honestly was awesome, easier than I thought too. I'm not fit (only walk to my coffee machine or car!) and whilst the ascent is hard work, you can go at your own pace.
Coming back down whilst needing less effort was harder, many walked backwards as my wife did because her toes hurt going down forwards in her trainers.
They supply trainers if your footwear isn't ideal, harness and a tabard if needed.
We got lucky and had blue skies, even in early March it was warm at 1pm so didn't go up in jackets, yes it's a bit windy up there but the effort going up might make you sweat a little!
Big shout to "Karl with a K" who was a perfect guide, there was a lady too but didn't get a chance to talk to, but Karl seemed to love it as much as we did and enthusiastic and funny (and professional) at the same time.
If you're thinking of booking this, don't hesitate, it's not that hard and the views are amazing.
