Overview

Steep climbing above the sea with great views. Our experienced guides will make sure you have an unique experience where mountains and ocean meet. Climbing above the sea adds to the thrill of the climb and is suitable for both seasoned climbers and guests with little or no experience from climbing.

Meeting points

When arriving at Bratten: follow the small road towards the ocean. Our office is in a dark brown building next to the round-about. If you arrive by car, please use the parking next to the main road.

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Itinerary

When arriving at Bratten our guides will meet you. They will hand out, and give instructions regarding the safety equipment before we go climbing. After an introduction to the equipment you will be guided along our sherpa trail to the Via Ferratas starting point at sea level. The routes are exposed and requires some physical strength. Our guide will join you on your climbing from sea level along the vertical cliff. The via ferratas exit is at 57 meters above sealevel and offer great views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Guests have to dress according to the weather. Proper clothing is important both for safety and to have a good experience. Trips need to have at least two bookings to be performed. Customers will be offered a refund or another time for the activity in case of solo booking.

Awesome trip and great experience. Even without climbing experience it is real fun and you can really challenge yourself. Very easy and spontanious contact via phone. Overall a great organisation and I would do it again.

Incredible Experience

Absolutely incredible experience, we had Sven as our instructor and he was incredibly clear and helpful throughout and was even able to help take some great photos of the climb. Most of our group went into it with very little experience but we're made to feel totally at ease and would highly recommend for seeing some incredible views.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience! We had such a fantastic time! Our guides Bjørnar and Svein were so knowledgeable and made us feel completely safe the entire time. The views are amazing too! If you have never done a via ferrata it may be a bit more on the challenging side but it is totally worth it! We had never done a via ferrata before and manger just fine. We fully recommend this experience as it was an 11/10!

Rock climbing

A great fable of experience hosted by a super rock climber Svein. Being our first time the way our guide Svein guided us with all lil details timely to make it smooth. He's a great guy with so much of positive response to any questions asked at any given point. He made our journey easy and forthcoming. Looking for more experiences and hoping to come back next summer. Thanks Svein for the entire experience. Oh yes not to mention its super safe as long as Svein is around. Thrilling and safe climbing!

Extremely rewarding experience with teenagers. You don’t need to be a skillfull climber, there are lots of metal steps, but you do need some strenght and courage. The wires will keep you safe. There is no hurry and lots of support from the guides, and amazing views! The path leading to the site is an impressive and scenic staircase made of rock, worth a visit in any case.
