Puerto Plata

Your tour will begin with pickup from your hotel or from the cruise ship port in Puerto Plata. Just minutes away a beautiful experience awaits you! Travel to Sosua Beach for a fun-filled tour with amazing under water life, and adventure. Be amazed by the multitude of abundant fish that will surround you once the tour guide starts feeding them. You will be surrounded by colorful sea life! There are two stops on this amazing snorkel tour. The first stop is about a 20-minute boat ride away. After roughly 40 minutes exploring the first stop, there will be a 15-minute boat ride to the second and final stop. Enjoy the shoreline sights and sounds along the way. This second reef will blow your mind, just ten feet deep in crystal clear water- you can enjoy the underwater sights from the boat or from the ocean!

Snorkeling was so much fun! At first, I was scared, but seeing how our guides showed me what to do. I was good after that and had a great time looking at all the beautiful fish in the ocean. They play music and we had lots of laughter and fun and we ate. I would definitely come back and do it again

The crew was amazing!! We came off of Puerto Plata port and the crew picked us up and dropped us off the port. This was the highlight of our trip. There was good music, drinks, and food, and you could snorkel without following the guide. The snorkel excursions through most of the cruises we have taken, the guide makes you stay hip to hip with them. We were so glad we booked this because the reviews do not lie. Book this and you are guaranteed a great time on the water!!

Really Fun Time

We had a great time on the trip. Communication prior to pickup was sparse, but we were able to easily find our driver at the cruise port. They were on time for pickup and very friendly. The ride was about 45 minutes to an hour but it went by quickly. They play music and interact along the way so it's never boring. Once there, they give you a life vest and you head to a small boat that takes you to the primary boat. Then you go to the two places for Snorkeling while they prepare the BBQ. Drinks and fruit are offered. The snorkeling is good, not great in variety, but many fish are seen with both places being good. There's a slide on the boat and the young ones enjoyed a few slides and were clearly having a good time. The food is yummy and perfect after the 2 swims. It was a sausage, a pork chop and a chicken wing. Hit the spot! Then you return to shore and back to the port. The staff was great! They do put out a tip bucket on the boat but aren't aggressive in solicitation. Be aware though that when you return back to the port that the drivers (who were also on the boat) indicate that those tips are not for them and solicit another. Again not in any kind of aggressive way. I just want others to be aware not to tip on the boat in an amount to cover the drivers as well but instead to split it out to your level of comfort and tip the drivers on their solicitation. I recommend this excursion to anyone who likes a fun and relaxing day with some good snorkeling.

We had a private VIP snorkle for 4 ppl. It was fantastic! Alex was our guide and he was very helpful, knowledgeable and fun! The boat was new and clean! We got up close with the fish and also got to snorkle the reef in Sousa which is sadly dying but we still saw lots of wildlife! Many fish even a few new species we hadn't seen before and and octopus! The food/bbq on board was the best food we have ever had on a snorkling/fishing boat! We will be back if ever in DR again!!! We took a tour from a cruise. It was very easy to find/communicate via what's app with the tour company about meeting point.
