Itinerary

Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula is one of the few places in the world where you can share the water with the world's largest fish, the whale shark. Your personalized, small group cruise sets out in search of these gentle creatures for a snorkeling experience you'll never forget. After having spotted a whale shark, you'll have the chance to jump in the water and snorkel alongside it (conditions permitting) for a wildlife encounter few people ever experience. Found in the world's tropical and warm-temperate oceans, the majestic whale shark glides peacefully through the clear waters along the Yucatan coast close to Isla Holbox, Isla Mujeres and Isla Contoy during the summer months, feeding on the microscopic plankton which thrives in this environment. You'll then have time to have lunch, relax and unwind off the coast of Isla Mujeres, in Playa Norte, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Be on the lookout for dolphins and manta rays as you enjoy the warm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.  A biologist/naturalist will be onboard throughout the day to answer questions you may have about whale sharks or any other wildlife you'll see during your adventure. They will also provide you with information on how to interact with the local marine life to ensure you have a safe and fun experience. With a maximum of 10 participants, the Mexican Whale Shark Snorkel Adventure is an intimate experience which will leave you with memories lasting a lifetime.

  • We only permit biodegradable sunscreen and we invite you to use it when you are in your Hotel before your trip because we care about your health and marine life.

Whale Sharks and Dolphins

We had a great trip this week. Very well organised from booking, and pick up to drop off on the day. It's the end of the season so the whale sharks took a while to find, and it was worth it! As a bonus we swam with dolphins we saw on the way. We stopped at Isla Mujeres for lunch, freshly prepared by the team it was delicious. The whole team were really informative, friendly and made the trip a great day.

First we found dolphins and were able to dive in with them. Let me just say I was in awe! I have swam with dolphins many times but this was the most exceptional. Then we finally found a whale shark and were able to dive in with him. The whole experience was magical.

Best whale shark tour

The whale sharks are incredible and everyone on our boat got to swim with them as well as dolphins! We spotted a manta ray while heading to Isla Mujeres. At the Island they made the most DELICOUS, to die for, fresh ceviche and guacamole. Alex and the rest of the crew made it comfortable and fun!

An absolutely incredible day! Santiago went above and beyond! The tour was longer than anticipated as Santiago enabled us to swim with dolphins & snorkel the reef, plus patiently waiting for the opportunity to swim with a whale shark. This was an experience not to be missed! Everything from the pickup to the drop off was perfect - thank you!!!

The experience was exceptional, the ceviche was amazing and the guide Rauz was very informative and made sure everyone understood what to do and what not to do. Chano has skills in choppy waters and Lalo made the food while bracing the waves, the crew were amazing to say the least and knew right where the whale sharkes were. Highly recommend.
