Overview

La Sainte Chapelle is the most remarkable gothic gem in the capital you shouldn't really miss. Our visit starts with the birth of Paris, its first inhabitants and some significant events that made of this island the heart of the city . After it, we will head toward one of the finest example of french gothic architecture called La Sainte Chapelle built to host the relics of Jesus in the 13th century. You will be astonished by the beauty of its walls covered with stained glass windows. We will learnt about the life of king Louis IX who became a Saint and who participated in the last two crusades, life in the middle ages,importance of relics in the middle ages and a few crunchy anecdotes. The guided visit lasts about 45 minutes

Meeting points

The meeting point is outside La Sainte Chapelle located at 10 Bd du Palais, 75001 Paris . The tour guide will be standing in line at the GROUP ENTRANCE of la sainte Chapelle. Please don't get in line. Look for the tour guide holding a YELLOW FABRIC BAG nearest the entrance.

Sagar was a very informative guide. The fast access to Sainte Chapelle was definitely worth it on a cold day. Also his knowledge of Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle was extensive. He also had detail photos of Notre Dame on his tablet that was so helpful since we were not able to get close or inside of Notre Dame at this time.
