Game drive or bush safari drives are shared with other people on especially adopted open-roof converted vehicle or truck.
Daily drive time: about 4 to 6 hours. Total distance about 2000 km route. This packed, fast-paced itinerary is filled with many of the best highlights of the region and ideal for the young-at-heart traveller that want to explore this vast region with limited time.
Some meals and drinks are not included on most tours; giving the ideal opportunity to experience typical South African meals (or your own preference) at local restaurants, shops or eating spots. Do check your tour's specific included and excluded section to verify the included meals for your tour package. You'll have free time scheduled daily to buy and enjoy meals. – Breakfast is mostly enjoyed at the accommodation's breakfast room/restaurant in the morning. Bed & Breakfast multi-day packages include breakfast for each overnight stay. – Lunch will be en-route with limited time & limited options to choose from. – Dinner-time during multi-day tours is scheduled in free-time after each day’s tour schedule. You can dine out at leisure; or book meals with your guide at the overnight accommodation that day. Your guide can recommend the best local restaurants, or most backpackers even have communal kitchens to prepare your own food - should you wish to buy the ingredients after the tour to prepare your own meals.
According to availability at time of booking, accommodation will be in the mentioned hotel or in one of a similar standard and star rating in a similar area. Sedgefield accommodation will occasionally be sold out and then your accommodation will be in nearby town of Wilderness or Knysna

Great tour, many sights, safe and fun, good for solos

This was a great tour. TK our driver was informative, helpful, and wise. You see a lot on the tour, all of it worthwhile, even if you don't do the bungee jumps or ziplines. There are other optional activities that can be booked. I'm a mid-50 male travelling alone, and took upgrade to own room in backpackers, all of which were perfectly acceptable, some wonderful, and all with own bathroom and large comfortable bad. Trying to fit so much in to five days does mean a lot of driving, and there 11 of us in the minivan, which was fine. Everyone was great. I would have loved to stay longer everywhere, but this tour was a great taster (wildlife, beaches, towns, bush, desert, wine, caves, adventure…) for South Africa.

Unforgettable tours

It was an amazing journey. There was a variety of attractions and experience. A lot to see, the animals, the birds, the breath taking landscapes and some peaceful little towns. The tour was well organised. While we enjoyed activities like hiking, bungee jump and zip-line, we still have time for relaxing and tasting wonderful foods. Most importantly, our trip was so good was because of our terrific driver guide Nev. His commentary covered everything in a casual manner. Every tour member was well taken care by him. He is smart, considerate and efficient in all aspects. We highly recommend hotspots2see!

I was travelling South Africa alone and this was the perfect way to do that in the safety of a tour group and guide. I liked the option of being able to book between hostels or hotels - I booked the 3* hotel option and the hotels selected were more like 4* - very well picked and all the hosts along the way were so friendly and welcoming. Lots of lovely food spots in all the places too. What made this trip super special was our tour guide Maudi - he was incredible, so knowledgable and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was ok, happy and well-catered for. I couldn't recommend him enough. If you are doing this trip - I would highly recommend doing the optional elephant walk - this was the best activity of the week, and wouldn't miss it. A very special experience, if you love elephants.

Isaac and hotspots2c were amazing

This was an overall amazing experience! Our guide Isaac was excellent. He made sure everyone was comfortable at all times and ensured we always knew where to go and what was happening. He made sure that we had everything that we needed and organised dinner and lunch venues that were top notch. The accomodation for this tour was exactly as described and Isaac waited until I was checked in before leaving and not before giving me times for next pick up. He always provided us with excellent commentary on the locations we visited and engaged us with the history of South Africa. This tour still ran with only two of us and Isaac made sure that neither of us felt uncomfortable and had what we both needed. I was hesitant in purchasing a five day tour independently but I do not regret taking the chance on hotspots2c as they did everything and more in ensuring we had an amazing experience!
