Experience the magic of Norway with the locals! Join our expert guide on an exhilarating hike to the awe-inspiring "Himakånå." This exclusive adventure accommodates a maximum of 15 guests. The journey starts at the cruise terminal, with a comfortable bus or car ride to Nedstrand, a fjord-side village. Your guide narrates the history of Haugalandet during the one-hour journey. Upon arrival, we pick up a light Norwegian lunch, or "Matpakke," from a local store before the 2.2 km hike to Himakånå, 357 meters above sea level. The trail is steep but manageable, taking about an hour each way. At the summit, capture breathtaking panoramic views and enjoy your "Matpakke." Himakånå is one of Norway's popular "selfie spots." Then, we descend to Nedstrand. Join us for a unique adventure connecting you to Norway's nature, history, and local culture. Cherish memories of this unforgettable journey with the locals!

Very friendly guide. The peak was spectacular. And we had extra time so the tour took us around town to points of interest.

The steep grades of the path were moderately challenging, but the view from the top was stunning and totally worth the effort. The gravel path made for an easy descent.

So much fun! Believe the description that it is a strenuous hike, but it's so worth it to get to the top and see the views! Our guides were great - very knowledgeable and made sure no one was getting left behind. Definitely recommend!

Himakånå - The legend of the Troll

Late in the day to review, however what a fantastic trip. The small group ended up being 4 so we went in a car and not mini bus. Our tour guide (Mateus?? Sorry if the name is wrong) could not fault his knowledge about Norway. He was entertaining and we found his knowledge on history, geology, politics and some so very interesting. The hike is hard, as very steep paths (gravel paths all the way to the top) but well worth the view when you get to the top. The story of the trolls is so lovely and he told it so well. He also walked with both couples as we walked at different paces and took some great pictures along the way of both of us. Packed lunch was most enjoyable too. On route back to the ship he gave us a little tour of Haugesund. We had the most amazing day and would highly recommend this trip.
