Valerie, our guide, is from the area and was very knowledgeable about the details of the tour. I gathered further knowledge of the D-Day events. An excellent box lunch was provided! Valerie said she doubted many of us had ever visited a WW2 German bunker. She looked perplexed when I stated that I had indeed been in a bunker and been shot at by Germans……Call of Duty video game!

Normandy D-Day Sites are amazing!

Our guide was excellent! She was very knowledgeable, kind, considerate and helpful in every way. Her English was outstanding. It was a sobering experience to see the D Day sites and we were continually amazed at the challenges faced by our young freedom warriors. It was definitely the best part of our trip. We were served a lovely lunch. It was well worth it. We are history buffs and loved this opportunity to learn more details and see the actual Omaha Beach., Pointe du Hoc and the German and American Cemeteries in Normandy. We hope our visit honors those who gave their all for our freedom!
