We very much enjoyed this tour, our driver and guide, Marko, did a great job giving some of the history of the areas we drove through on the way. The van was comfortable even with 6 guests and a driver.
Golubac Fortress is quite amazing and being able to look over into Romania and understand all that has gone on over centuries here was fascinating. The Fortress is well presented and even in only the "green zone" it was worth the visit, great for photo ops.
The lunch stop was also interesting inside an artists property with all his art work in the fields and the restaurant. The food is all local and plenty to eat. The cheeses were excellent and first time to eat deep fried nettles, so some thing new.
Last stop was the Lepenski vir archaeological dig. A lovely walk through a wooded path from the car park with botanical identification of many trees and then into the museum itself with the original settlement from 7000 years ago replicated inside. Very much worth the visit.
There is a lot of driving on this tour but the journey passes quickly with the informative insights from our guide.
