Overview

ArtVo is an immersive art or ‘trick art’ gallery, where you are encouraged to touch the art and become part of the art by taking photographs from designated points on the floors of the gallery. There are 9 themed zones to explore with over 80 hand painted immersive installations just minutes from Melbourne CBD. And there’s a new theme - Fantasy - spanning the entire course of the gallery. The Fantasy theme will see people explore the ocean, polar ice caps, space and the forest. Plus, the dreamscape art will see some very exciting interactive experiences. Getting to ArtVo is easy. Catch the tram- the FREE City Circle (35), 70 or 86 tram- to Waterfront City/Docklands stop D11 or jump in the car and head to The District Docklands East or West multi-level car parks, where parking is easy.

    Once arriving at ArtVo, you will receive a short introduction which explains how the gallery works and the best way to capture your Instagram worthy photos!  You can spend as long as you like inside ArtVo, but visitors generally require 2 hours to experience the entire gallery.  Staff are on hand through the entire journey to provide inspiration with how to pose, to ensure that you are able to take the best possible photos.  ArtVo provides the ultimate fun and unique destination, allowing for amazing photos and memories to be had, for all, both young and young at heart. Some favourites include taking a ride in a gondola through a Venetian canal or even getting your own set of angel wings. By posting on Instagram & Facebook using the #artvo_melbourne like thousands of others have done, you will have the opportunity to be reposted onto our Social Media account, to show off your amazing image!

Don't miss this very fun 'perspective' art activity for all ages!

Don't miss this is an interactive, creative and very fun 'perspective' activity for all ages. Staff are friendly and helpful, offering to take pictures of us. The paintings are realistic and reflect recent popular movies as well as popular environment settings. We were seniors on a day out and giggled our way through the entire exhibition mucking around taking photos. Real value for money too! 5 stars.

An extremely fun, interactive experience. We spent an hour and a half there and the time flew. Highly recommend for young and old alike with many opportunities for people of all abilities to get some great, fun photos. School holidays were over when we visited, so it was fairly quiet.

THE BEST TIME EVER AT ARTVO

I took my two grandchildren there as a treat. We had a great time. My 10 year old grandson wasn't keen to take part in the photos, but he could see how much fun his sister (9) was having, and then joined in the fun. Great photo opportunities, lots of fabulous photos to share with family and friends.

Fun for everybody

I went there alone which is not practical. It is better to be at least two people or better more. The staff took a couple of photos of myself (I could have asked for more) and I asked some other visitors for a couple of photos. The photos really do look very real. Not all backgrounds are that spectacular. You can have lots of fun trying out several positions in front of the photos. It was OK with the amount of people there. Perhaps a short wait or go along further and then come back. There was always a chance to take the photos. I saw a big group of people going in and waited half an hour till I went in - perhaps ask how many people are already in there.

Husband & I visited this gallery yesterday. We had a really fun time. Loads of laughs n some amazing pics. Would recommend for all ages as there is something for everyone. Staff were helpful asking if we wished pics together and the girl on the door examined things well. Great experience and reasonable too. (15.00 each). Free tram , no 70 from Flinders St to last stop D11. Walk across the road and it’s on level 1 of The District shopping centre. Lifts and escalators are available and it’s accessible for wheelchair users. Wee Tip Book the morning slots as it’s not so busy then and we really didn’t need to wait long for a photo opportunity. We went at 11am . Allow an hour n a half at least.
